I have a garage door from 1984 and these fit as the screw holes matched up. I used the original screws as the new set are self tapping but are slightly larger in diameter. Since one broke, I replaced both of them. Make sure to re-balance the tension of the cables as they may be out of alignment and the door will be not be square. I have an ancient aluminum-framed steel garage door that's about 40 years old. The Scottchen bottom bracket fit perfectly and is heavier than the original hardware. Good solid replacement parts for the door. Getting the extra screws was an added bonus.

    • Bolt hole in bad spot
The lower hole for the bolt is in a position to where it is nearly impossible to put a nut on with a roller in the two channels. It is also slightly wider than factory-made parts. Bad design.
