I got this not paying attention to it clearly stating it is for an amplified system until it shipped and thought well it might work on one that isn't. I'd just not use the second smaller plug. As I dug deeper into the factory wiring differences I realized this is not the case and there is actually a different harness. The pinning in this will not work as there will be the same wires but placement on 3 will be different. Can you make it work? Probably but its not going to be plug n play and why would you when you can get exactly what you need for the same price. The quality felt good, came with 0 instructions but if you are wiring your own system and you really need them you probably shouldn't be handling electrical in your vehicle. Anyway, I returned it unused and picked up the right one by Scosche soldered it in, some shrink tubing and its working great. ... show more

Installed in my 2006 F150 and it worked perfectly! Wires matched right up. Glad I noticed this item included a connector for the factory sub as I needed this.     • Perfect Fit for 04 Mustang w/MACH 460
There is a lot of confusion on the net around what harness fits and how to connect an aftermarket stereo in the 04 Mustang with the factory MACH 460 Audiophile Sound System. Amazon's "WILL IT FIT" nailed it, this is the solution. This is a direct fit and the wires are color matched to your aftermarket stereo so making the connections is easy. I did opt to put a 1 Ohm resistor (Scosche customer service recommends a 1.5 Ohm if you can find it) on the Amplifier turn on leads (Secondary RCA harness) to reduce the Amp turn on POP and so far it does the job. Seems Scosche could include this in the harness if they KNOW it's likely to be needed. There are additional wires on the harness that according to Scosche customer service, accommodate steering wheel controls, speed sensing volume or GPS interface. Scosche customer service is excellent and you MAY be able to use these wires if your radio supports it. The CS number is on the back of the package, I recommend you call if you have any trouble. I've read issues with the tweeters "dropping out" when using aftermarket receivers and the best I can say is look for an aftermarket unit that does not exceed 200W (50X4) and has a DEDICATED Subwoofer RCA line out. You will want to use the Subwoofer out for the secondary harness that supports the Amplifiers which power the 5x7 Subs in the doors and quarter panels. Most receivers with a Subwoofer out will allow you to manage the BASS going to the four speaker outputs separately from the Subwoofer output. This configuration seems to produce the best overall sound and best fader control of the system. ... show more

The main cable assembly works fine and would be rated at five stars. But the subwoofer cable assembly is not wired correctly for a 2004 Ford Expedition with CD changer and subwoofer. It is a good thing I know what I am doing and checked the wires prior to installation. I had to change the position of four wires (only two were in the correct place). This is another good example of a product listed on Amazon with incomplete description and compatibility. I assumed "2003 - Up Select Ford" included my vehicle. Please note that the stock remote voltage supplied to the subwoofer amplifier is 6V while most head units supply 12V. I do not know what kind of problems will be caused by providing 12V to the amplifier. A voltage regulator may be necessary. ... show more

I matched by color code and plugged in to the car and it started playing immediately. I didn't realize the radio was already turned on. This was before was installed and bolted down. Deliver one day before promised. Great 👍 service.
