Description

Meant to disrupt the norm, this radical design is easily converted to work with any type of bike. We started with a half helmet and added an integrated drop-down sun visor for protection from sunlight. A rear comfort sleeve allows the helmet to convert to a 3/4 open-face and then attach the included front mask and you’ve got an aggressive looking full-face helmet.

I wear a Scorpion EXO 900X modular and had hoped one of these styles of helmets would fit my need. The Covert fit just okay. There were gaps to be expected but the gaps there for me would have meant a much louder ride. Some road/wind noise is expected even with ear plugs but the fit was not what I had hoped for. I'm a big Scorpion fan and will probably try a more traditional modular. Now, the look is amazing and IMO much slicker than the Bell Broozer or Rogue. It was more of a low profile vs the HJC option. This is a good modular helmet and looks like HD version but cheaper price. Mine seems to fit tight compared to others so pay attention to their sizing. I don't care for 1/2 helmet configuration because looks like mushroom head, but I bought for cold weather anyway. Down fall is face shield vents cannot be closed, so expect cold air on your chin. Overall I’m satisfied. Some points to know. 1.) The lower chin piece is just a “weather shield” and the manufacturer states it will not protect in a fall. It clips into the helmet using plastics. I worry about longevity. It is nice and airy. I don’t get that claustrophobic feeling like a true full face helmet. 2.) why on earth would the manufacturer not use quick release chin straps? For an extra dollar they could have done it. No, this has traditional buckle style chin straps. Such an annoyance for someone used to quick release. 3.) it looks cool. Wind noise isn’t bad. The helmet itself is very cool, with an easily detachable front face, so you can stop, eat, smoke, whatever, without having to take your whole helmet off. Comes with two plastic bits on the front, and the mouth piece separate. You have to remove the plastic pieces for the mount guard to connect to the helmet.! Very noisey on the freeway. Not sure why no one else has complained about this. It’s insanely loud on the freeway. Perfect on back roads, and speeds under 60. Otherwise, I wouldn’t advice it. I don’t have a windshield, so that might help substantially. Removing a star for crazy loud freeway, otherwise it would be 5 stars. However, I’m likely turning this in, for a helmet that provides mouth, neck, and additional protection that this item lacks. Not a fan of having only half my head protected. ... show more
