Poor quality butane may contain impurities. Only perform refill in a well ventilated area. Make sure the lighter/torch is completely OFF Make sure the tank is empty Set the flame level to the lowest level Press the butane fuel can's nozzle down into the refill valve for about 5-10 seconds and repeat if necessary until it is almost full Wait 5-10 minutes before using DOs and DON'TsAlways use caution when using lighters/torches Only use it in well ventilated area Use caution when adjusting flame sizes, point it away when doing so, do it slowly DO NOT make excessive flame size adjustment abruptly. Never point the nozzle at you or any other person, always point it away. These are HIGH quality, extremely Durable, Trustworthy products, right out of the package it lights up and goes. The grip is amazing, and fits in your hand very comfortably better than any other torch we have held before, its very easy to refill and has a extremely long life. The colors are just AMAZING, and the boxes they come in are very Elegant and well designed. We have had no problems at all with these Torches, if your into Dabs, Marijuana, Cooking Food, or simply just want a Torch this is the one you will want. The design is so easy, and well made it would fit into a holster even to carrry, and fit into any purse and bag no problem. This Torch has a very big adjustable flame at a very low cost for the torch, we HIGHLY recommend to use NEON universal premium butane X11 here from Amazon the package deals are Amazing, we have had absolutely no issues with these and they last way longer than other butane at a very good price. (updated) still works very great, swear by these bought 6 already. Very large and cheaply made. I regret my purchase. It has already stopped working and I just got it about a month ago. Unfortunately, I'm just a couple of days outside of the return window so I can't get my money back.

First impressions, it is lighter than I expected. The only aluminum is the heat guard. I don't necessarily see this as a drawback. I would think the weight would be nice for any prolonged use. The flame is crazy powerful.. I run t a couple of fans in my room and the flame does deflect a little but wasn't a problem. I realize the torch wasn't advertised as a pipe lighter and rightly so, i wouldn't use it with a pipe in mind. For cigar, cigarette use its fine though. The torch did come with some butane in it so I was able to light it directly out of the box. It lights up one click but its minutes old. Curious to see how it performs down the road. I've personally have had pretty good luck with Scorch torches, enough good impressions that I felt confident enough to order this one. Im just curious to see how it fares after long term use. If I have any issues with it down the line, I will add on to this review. If its functioning fine then I'll probably leave it as is. No news is good news. I got the Red#1, gold aluminum with red body. The gold looks more to me like bronze, but I think it's fine. It still looks good. Its comfortable to grip. Obviously on high I would anticipate refilling it more often because it really kicks out a long flame. So to me thats just common sense and to be expected. Shipping was quick Amazon got it to me a full day ahead of schedule, no complaints there, and overall no complaints period at this point. Based on first impressions I would recommend it to others. I would say that I would have liked it to have more metal because the description does lead you to believe it has more, like the whole grip piece. Although my main reason for this purchase was to get a quality torch that will last. So time will tell. ... show more

Reliable and extremely easy to use. The only complaint I have currently is that the butane (lotus premium) I'm using creates a lot of blow off which is a first for me cuz it's what I've used on my previous scorch torches. Either way not worth taking a star of for that.... PS this is torch is not intended for long durations of use maybe 5 to 7 minutes with approx 4inch flame ... show more

First, I'd like to say that the seller shipped the item promptly and it arrived nicely packaged and it comes in a beautiful, gift able box. The torch itself came with butane already in it. This was very unusual and a first for me. The torch is very light weight and easy to work with one hand. It's made with a plastic body and aluminum outter piece. It fits well in my hand and I love that it's easy to lock and adjust the flame with one hand. My biggest complaint is how loud the click is when lighting. It can be heard across the house. Other cons, are that it feels like it's cheaply made, tho I'm sure it's not, it's just really light weight and I feel like if I were to drop it at any height at all, it would break. It feels like it should be a $10 torch not a $30 torch. I suggest using a high quality butane. I have used 3 different brands so far and when using the lower quality type, it wouldn't produce a flame until I turned it up quite a bit. But that's no fault of the torch, but of the fuel. The torch looks good and reminds me of a race car. I wouldn't recommend this torch, but I wouldn't discourage people from buying it either. I think for the price people would expect it to be heavier and feel sturdier in their hand. But the size and the ability to use with one hand is great. This is my second Scortch Torch. Bought the first one at a local smoke shop and lasted me about a year of almost every day use. After a while, the ignition started to go and would take a couple clicks to get the flame going. Hopefully this one won’t go out as soon as the last one I had. So far, have had no problem.
