Awesome costume!!! Runs small. For the reference my son is in a size 6t, tall and skinny at age 4. I went with the medium (8-10). It fits a little loose and will be perfect for Halloween. I tried it on with regular clothes and think i could easily fit sweat pants and a hoodie underneath depending on the weather. This costume was very well made and thick. He loved it rigjt away. I bought this for my 4 year old Scooby fanatic as her Halloween costume this year and she loved it so much that she continues to wear it around the house. The costume is made of very soft material and is high quality, especially considering how cheaply made most of the costumes on the market are these days. I was amazed at how nice it really is. The hood features Scooby's face on the top and Scooby's collar has velcro on the back and once closed, it secures the hood onto your child's head. The feet of the costume are open on the bottom with elastic straps to fit around the child's shoes so the feet won't get all scuffed up as he/she is trick or treating. I bought the medium size based on other people's reviews that it is cut small. My daughter is about 42" tall and according to the sizing chart in the item photo, a small should've fit her, but I purchased the medium just in case (intended for heights between 50-54" tall) and was so happy I did. It was a little big on her and some of the fabric bunched a little above the feet, but it's better to be a bit big than too small. Even though it was a little big, it didn't drag on the ground at all and it kept her warm while trick or treating on a chilly night. I ordered this for my son for Halloween this year. He is 5 and 48" tall, the medium fits him great. He loves it and doesn't even want to take it off. It is really well made and definitely worth the price. It's not itchy at all on the inside and it is thick enough to help him keep warm during trick or treating. OMG. This is the second costume I've bought. The first I bought for my son when he was 3. He wore it for 2 years before he finally got tired of it. I hung onto it for sentimental reasons. Well, some years later my 2 yr old daughter found it -love at first sight. She wore that thing for nearly 3 years. I mean she wore it A LOT. She finally grew to big for it and would try to wear it anyway. So I had to buy a bigger one. If this one holds up like the first one did I know I will have it for many years. Awesome costume in every way. I ordered med for a size 4-5, there is growing room, but not too big. It is very well made, not like a cheap dept store costume. It kept my granddaughter nice and warm in Indiana last night. It is adorable on. I wish I knew how to add her pic. It came fast, packaged appropriately, etc. couldn't be happier unless it was free lol If someone knows how to add a pic please let me know. I read the reviews and some said it ran true to size and others said it ran small. Erroring on the side of caution, I ordered a size medium for my son (who wears size 5t). It is big on him, so a size small would have been the better choice. But we will keep the larger size as there will be plenty of room for a coat underneath instead of needing to wear one over the costume. Very poorly sewed, had to see spots that the stitching was not even touching tail was loose elastic for feet and hands was not attached well sewed 4 spots before my grandson could wear it
