I bought this item based on reviews. It is hard to find a good trimmer. I received it one day ago. Charged it immediately. Used it when it was ready. Here is what I have found: Pros: it does cut nose hair well It does cut ear hair well It comes with a protective cap It has a metal housing Cons: comes with an additional trimmer attachment...which is useless, and of poor quality. When you switch out tips, it is hard, and the plastic pieces are flimsy. It describes metal blades, and metal housing. The blades are powered by flimsy plastic pieces. It appears that the internal workings of the trimmer won't last long. Overall: fairly disappointed. The trimmer is sharp looking. The cap is a plus. Comes with a little storage bag, and cleaning brush. The nose/ear trimmer works well. That is about it. If a person switched out tips often...this will not last. The tips are hard to switch out. Poor design, compared to others. Trimmer head is useless...not well made...didn't cut hair well at all. Update: less than month after purchase...the trimmer won't last on for more than three minutes, after full charge. Also...the internal prongs that the cord plugs into...has become loose. Definitely have decided...not a good purchase!!

I am not sure how this thing has gotten the good reviews it has. Maybe all the reviews are by people from the company. If I could give it less than 1 star I would. Have had this thing for maybe a year and the first thing that you notice is you can charge it for 6 hours and maybe, maybe you will get two minutes of actual time to use it before it runs out of energy. Oh and you can't just use it while it's plugged in either. Nope, you have to charge it again for hours before you can use again. So you better get all your trimming in before that two minutes of battery energy runs out. The second thing is, is the nose hair trimming cutting head is designed poorly. It has several slots but they are so thin that you will be lucky if you can get any hair in there to trim. I can go over the same spot over and over again and not have cut any hair at all. Third, the plastic cover that protects the head when you are not using it utterly useless. It falls right off, it doesn't snap into place like it should. It just falls right off. You mind as well just put a cloth over it, it would work just as well. And lastly, I haven't even had this for a year and guess what, the battery is shot. So now it wont charge at all. I know it says the battery has a lifetime guarantee...LMAO. So now what? pay shipping and handling to have it repaired?? Yeah..NO!! Not worth it. This thing is a piece of garbage. Made in China...of course. Don't waste your time or money with this thing.

I'm very happy with this trimmer. In the past I've used battery operated trimmers and they suffer in performance when the battery gets low. This one has a sideburn trimmer which is very nice as it just pops on and off so I don't have to pull out a different trimmer. It all fits in a nice small bag so I can keep it all together. I recommend this product.
