..I am so glad that I chose this product. The picture quality is really nice and the sound is what you'd expect from rear-firing speakers: average. The product was packaged really well. The assembly was simple -- Sceptre even included a screwdriver for the stand. There are NO internet features on this product. No Wi-Fi, no ethernet jack, etc. for those of you who want/need that.     • Good Picture, Adequate Sound, Nice Price
Bought this on Cyber Monday, primarily for use as a PC monitor. This has an internal calendar and clock. The clock defaults to 2016, probably when the model was introduced, which would explain why so cheap. Picture was saturated and a tad on the green side for my eyes, but I was able to tone it down and balance it out enough that things don't look like a mushroom trip. Part of that was done through the Windows Video Calibration settings. I can see light areas when the picture is supposed to be a black screen. That can only be improved with a better backlight diffuser. Audio is, well, it's adequate if you're patient enough to fiddle with the audio settings, but even then it sounds like a cheap boom-box. Only redeeming quality in this department is that It has audio outs if you have an external amp and speakers of better quality. I might also take the back off and hook directly to external speakers. If I didn't need a new monitor post haste, I would definitely have waited until I could afford better, but for the price this will do for a year or so. ... show more

A good value,the tuner is excellent once you find the best area in your abode,get an amplified antenna and you should be able too pull in most of your local channels,the picture quality is good,the sound is puny but tolerable.So this TV is worth a Buy!!!.

    • Sound isn't much to desire.
3.5 stars. Cons: Sound quality is horrible and I live in a small space. Very "tinny" Thankfully my cheap little Bluetooth Anker speaker helps with that issue for now. Delivery... ordered on the 2nd, Expected delivery was between 5th and 9th. Then switched to12th as it hadn't even left the processing center by the 6th. I had to put a vacation hold on it as I was away on the 12th. Ok things happen. Got it yesterday the 16th. Pros: package came in great condition. Easy to "assemble" Easy fire TV stick hookup, ( unfortunately I have the firestick 2017 version so I'm getting buffering and lag, time to upgrade) but the picture is nice, easy to navigate and set up . I don't have cable, so no comment there. It's really just a plug and go TV for us cordcutters. For the price ($135 minus $25 in Amazon points) I really can't complain. I have a 32 inch Sceptre with better sound, but again for price and past experience with this brand can't really go wrong. As long as you have an audio system to go with it.     • An Easy Tip to get around the poor sound quality.
This is a great TV for the money. Picture quality is outstanding, I'm very pleased with the purchase. I agree with most reviewers, the sound quality coming out of this TV is not very good. The speaker sound is Tinny and Hollow sounding but here's a easy, cheap way around it. I have a high quality pair of Bose speakers attached to my PC via the Green single audio port in the back. This TV only has RCA type jacks for audio, using a separate Left and Right Jack hook up. However, there is a single Green type audio port for Headphones. I plugged my Bose PC Speakers set up into the Headphones Jack and it worked!?! I thought it might only give me sound out of 1 speaker but No, Great Stereo sound. My speakers are high quality but I'm sure any decent PC type speaker set up will work great too. The Bass, Treble and Balance can be manipulated with the Sceptre Remote via the sound set up menu. Bypassing the RCA speaker or sound bar option now makes this TV an even better choice. ... show more

IM HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE IT LOOKS FABULOUS! I REALLY LIKE THE FACT THAT IT DOES NOT HAVE A GLASS SCREEN,(although you can still see the window) SO I DONT SEE THE REFLECTION OF MY WINDOW AS BRIGHT. I HAVE MY X-BOX HOOKED UP THROUGH HDMI, I HAVE MY CABLE THROUGH HDMI AND THEY LOOK AMAZING! SOMETIMES IT EVEN LOOKS LIKE 3D, CABLE AND ESPECIALLY X-BOX. ALTHOUGH I DID NOT GET THE KOMODO (I GOT THE SCEPTRE X435BV-FSR) I DID RECEIVE THE NEWIST OF THE MODELS. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS WHEN TURNING ON THE TELEVISION THE WORD KOMODO WOULD APPEAR INSTEAD OF SCEPTRE. ALL THE SPECS ARE THE SAME (ACCORDING TO THE CUST SVC REP) POINT IS THIS MAY BE MY NEW GO 2 COMPANY FOR TV'S AND MONITORS ... show more

    • Sound is horrible but a great TV
I got a sound bar for this TV because the sound on the TV is horrible. I played with all the equalizers and even tried to use the computer mixer to change the sound but it was always tinny sounding. However, the picture is great, the connections were easy, and the picture is big. I got this as a end of year deal as they changed the buttons to another place on the TV for the next year so the price was really good for me. I think it's regular price now. Love the TV and the remote isn't hard to use, it's just the sound is bad, well, not since I got a sound bar. ... show more
