I thought I was ordering an inferior product to this one— I was pleasantly surprised! These are the chains your local government uses on its heavy equipment. The real deal, super tough, heavy chains. If you want cheap, tiny little thin chains that will break easily and slip on six inches of packed snow, then look elsewhere. I made the mistake with cheap chains in the past and wish I had bought Security Chain Company products sooner. Easy to put on and adjust. The cams are a new concept for me but work as designed. I was skeptical about them at first. I still use a backup tension system of heavy duty rubber tie-downs, but never had an issue. Because someone totaled my previous truck in a MVC. I had to buy new ones to accommodate the tire size. I really like the cam style chains for a nice tight fit. I really like how heavy duty these chains are and the amazing price they are charging for them. Highly recommend!

I have two sets of these chains, but this is the first set of chains I bought that use the cams. They are well made and definitely easier to get on your wheels, but I'm not confident that the cams will stay locked. I bought the bungee cords loop to put on the outside to keep tension on them, so if a cam does shift open they will still stay on my wheel. I did try them out and drove around my property and they worked perfectly fine. Couple of things I would change: I would like the cams to be a more positive lock when tightened and I wish they came with a nice case to keep them in so they can be carried around easier. ... show more

35x12.5x20 Test fit before my road trip. I think I’m pushing the sizing limits on these chains but once the cams were tightened I had a very snug fit

I ultimately returned these as the clearance just wasn't great thanks to some poor Ford engineering (no fault of the chains). But... these are fantastic chains with one caveat- you ABSOLUTELY MUST SECURE THE LOOSE CHAIN ENDS or you'll have an 8" chain flail whipping around inside and outside the wheel wells, smacking your tie rod ends, steering knuckles, brake lines, sway bar, whatever a long section of chain would ideally NOT be repeatedly beaten with... Simple answer, as illustrated in the description, is to take a wire tie and simply bind the loose chain ends down so they don't flail. Not sure if zip ties would be strong enough or not, but you get the idea. Throw a handful of wire ties and/or zip ties in your glove box anyway. ... show more

The first pair I bought worked so well and fit nicely on my 315/75r16 (35's) truck tires that I bought a second pair of the same part number QG3229CAM. The first set had a date stamp of 2024, the second set that I bought is dated 2025. The newer set is one link shorter and do not fit my tires. Luckily they will fit my other truck which is equipped with a smaller tire size. So beware if you have larger tires, they may or may not fit. Some previous comments said they would fit 35's while others said they did not, now I know why. If they fit, they work very well in the snow!
