  • Pretty basic, but good enough for my needs
I took saxophone in high school, and can still eke out a few tunes from muscle memory, but I can't actually make the notes I'm playing. And I want to regain that knowledge. To that end, this fingering chart is good enough for my needs. It's printed on paper, which in my experience (I play several instruments and have various chord and fingerings charts on a wall in my bedroom) means it might not last long. Corners will tear or curl up, paper will fade, and accidentally brushing the back of a chair against it can ruin the whole thing. Most of the music posters I've picked up over the years are printed in vinyl for that reason. But unless I'm just extra clumsy when I put it up, I can't imagine this thing not lasting long enough for my needs. I'll park a music stand in front of it and start reading basic melodies until I don't need it anymore. If I get my practice time in every day, that should be about a week. Overall, this product is good enough to recommend to others. Especially beginning students. It might be a good thing to put up in a school's music/band practice room. ... show more

  • Incorrect notation for E-flat
There is a mistake with the notation for E-flat. In treble clef, it shows F-flat instead of E-flat.

  • Simple, Clear, and Helpful for Beginners
This saxophone fingering chart is a simple and useful guide, especially for beginners who are just learning basic fingerings and note positions. The layout is clear and easy to follow, and it does a good job covering the standard range of notes. It’s helpful for quick reference during practice and for getting familiar with chord fingerings. The printing quality is clear, and everything is easy to read. The size works well as a poster for a practice area, and it comes packaged neatly in a tube, which makes it convenient to carry or store before use. That said, it’s a paper-based poster, not a plastic or laminated one. While everything is fine right now, I’m a bit concerned about long-term durability, especially with frequent handling—it may tear or wear over time if not protected. Overall, it’s a good, straightforward saxophone chart that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Everything is okay and functional, but the paper material is the main reason I’m giving it 4/5 instead of 5/5. ... show more

  • Unrolling is a hassle, printed on both sides which is not great for a chart
This chart is informative and clear with a lot of useful information. My only complaint is that it is rolled up for shipping, so it requires unrolling, and it is difficult to keep it unrolled since it is rolled so tightly. I am sure it will straighten itself out eventually so I can't complain too much. Another issue, as others have pointed out, is that the chart is printed on both sides, so you won't see all of the information without taking it off the wall and turning it around. ... show more

  • Potentially useful learning tool with some legitimate flaws
This could be a useful chart for someone who is learning the saxophone, but it has some problems. One being the notation above the fingering for one of the notes is actually that of a different note (potentially confusing for a beginner.) The other problem is that it the information is on two sides of the poster so if you wanted to put it on a wall you would actually need two posters to be able to see all the notes. ... show more

  • very cool
I picked this up because I kept forgetting the alt fingerings and my memory isnt what it used to be. The chart is made of high quality coated paper so it doesnt rip the first time you unroll it It covers all the essential fingerings and note names in one layout , which saves me from googling every five seconds. The universal chord diagrams are a nice touch for mastering chords My only gripe is that its double sided so you have to flip it over to see everything. Still, a solid cheat sheet for the studio. ... show more
