  • This chart has been so helpful!
I recently picked up this saxophone fingering chart and chords poster for my son, and it has quickly become one of the best music learning tools we’ve added to our home. As a busy mom supporting my family’s involvement in worship ministry, I love finding resources that make practice both effective and encouraging, and this chart delivers beautifully. What stands out first is how clear and well-organized the layout is. The fingering diagrams are large, detailed, and color-coded, making it incredibly easy to see exactly which keys to press for each note. It covers the full standard range with separate sections for left and right hand positions, plus helpful labels for sharps and flats. The visual aids for octave keys and alternate fingerings are fantastic for beginners who get overwhelmed trying to memorize everything at once. My son, who is just starting out, can glance at the poster during practice sessions and instantly find what he needs without frustration. I also appreciate that it includes basic chords alongside the individual note fingerings. This turns it into more than just a reference chart — it’s a true beginner’s guide that supports real musical growth. The sturdy poster material holds up well even when taped to the wall near his practice area, and the design is vibrant and engaging rather than boring textbook-style. Whether you’re a complete newbie or helping a child build confidence on the saxophone, this chart makes learning feel approachable and fun. We’ve noticed steady improvement in his note accuracy and speed since hanging it up. It’s the kind of practical accessory that takes the guesswork out of practice time and keeps motivation high. Highly recommend it for any aspiring sax player or music family looking for quality beginner support! ... show more

  • Good quality, but double sided. defeats the purpose of a wall poster.
This is very nice in general. Maybe it was me not reading the description, or a misunderstanding or something. I thought there was 2 of them and I had intent to frame them. They are not indeed 2, but one front and back. They are however easy to read, very clear and for me at least, very understandable. I think it would have been better in my opinion if they were one sided, I can't imagine putting up a poster that is 2 sided where one would be pressed against the wall. ... show more

  • Incorrect notation for E-flat Incorrect notation for E-flat
There is a mistake with the notation for E-flat. In treble clef, it shows F-flat instead of E-flat.

  • Pretty basic, but good enough for my needs Pretty basic, but good enough for my needs
I took saxophone in high school, and can still eke out a few tunes from muscle memory, but I can't actually make the notes I'm playing. And I want to regain that knowledge. To that end, this fingering chart is good enough for my needs. It's printed on paper, which in my experience (I play several instruments and have various chord and fingerings charts on a wall in my bedroom) means it might not last long. Corners will tear or curl up, paper will fade, and accidentally brushing the back of a chair against it can ruin the whole thing. Most of the music posters I've picked up over the years are printed in vinyl for that reason. But unless I'm just extra clumsy when I put it up, I can't imagine this thing not lasting long enough for my needs. I'll park a music stand in front of it and start reading basic melodies until I don't need it anymore. If I get my practice time in every day, that should be about a week. Overall, this product is good enough to recommend to others. Especially beginning students. It might be a good thing to put up in a school's music/band practice room. ... show more

  • Simple, Clear, and Helpful for Beginners Simple, Clear, and Helpful for Beginners
This saxophone fingering chart is a simple and useful guide, especially for beginners who are just learning basic fingerings and note positions. The layout is clear and easy to follow, and it does a good job covering the standard range of notes. It’s helpful for quick reference during practice and for getting familiar with chord fingerings. The printing quality is clear, and everything is easy to read. The size works well as a poster for a practice area, and it comes packaged neatly in a tube, which makes it convenient to carry or store before use. That said, it’s a paper-based poster, not a plastic or laminated one. While everything is fine right now, I’m a bit concerned about long-term durability, especially with frequent handling—it may tear or wear over time if not protected. Overall, it’s a good, straightforward saxophone chart that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Everything is okay and functional, but the paper material is the main reason I’m giving it 4/5 instead of 5/5. ... show more

  • Potentially useful learning tool with some legitimate flaws Potentially useful learning tool with some legitimate flaws
This could be a useful chart for someone who is learning the saxophone, but it has some problems. One being the notation above the fingering for one of the notes is actually that of a different note (potentially confusing for a beginner.) The other problem is that it the information is on two sides of the poster so if you wanted to put it on a wall you would actually need two posters to be able to see all the notes. ... show more
