For the price point, this set is a very good value. I prepped my nails by pushing back my cuticles, then roughed up the natural nail and used Ph bond to remove oils, followed my acid free nail primer. To test the forms I took the length off my pinkie so I could see how the forms worked and if I could build a nail with this monomer and powder. Honestly, all my complaints about this kit have to do with the brush. Firstly, its a #12 and I use a #8 so its really big. I could not find any small print on what type of bristles it has but they don't seem to be Kolinsky (understandable at this price point) The powder they put in the bristles to hold shape took me about ten minutes to clean out (usually it takes 30 seconds) It had no firmness and it held so much monomer it was hard to form small beads. Its better than other kits I have tried - but its still horrible. The little emery board they include is bad too. The rest of the kit, however, is quite good. They include 10 nail forms to try building a nail, the monomer is low odor which usually means slightly slower setting the powder is fine. The sizes are generous too, 2 oz of monomer and 1 oz of powder will do several sets of nails or fills. Adding a dapping dish is great. I found this formed a nail fine, cured medium fast so it gave me time to sculpt a nail and filed smooth. This set is an incredible value and much better than any other kit I have tried. Be aware that you do need to prep, you do need a dehydrater and primer. A decent Kolinsky brush and decent nail files (the flimsy ones won't do - they can't file acrylic) will improve your experience tremendously. So this kit is not all you need but its still very good.

I recently started doing my nails, and this AVILAND Advanced Acrylic Nail Kit for Beginners was a great set to try out. While you will still need a few additional accessories to fully cure and finish your nails, this kit itself is very beginner-friendly with clear, straightforward instructions. My first attempt wasn’t perfect, but I can already tell that with some practice my results will improve. The acrylic was easy to work with, and the overall quality and value of the kit are solid. As a side note, I already had a few brushes and tools on hand, but the ones included in this kit are definitely acceptable for getting started. Overall, a good-quality starter kit for anyone new to acrylic nails.

just got this acrylic kit and I'm pretty impressed with the value! I was looking for something easy to use as a beginner to start practicing at home, and this set has everything you need. The clear powder is really nice. It's supposed to be self-leveling, and I found that it applies smoothly without a lot of bubbles, which is awesome for getting a good foundation. The liquid monomer is low-odor and supposedly has good ingredients like vitamin E, which is a big plus since I'm sensitive to strong smells. The kit is very generous with the amount of powder and liquid, which should last through several sets. It also comes with the nail forms and a little glass dish for the monomer. It air dries naturally in about five to eight minutes, and I love that you don't need a UV lamp for curing.

While this kit includes monomer, acrylic powder, and a brush, it doesn't include the "prep" or "primer" steps the instructions say to use with them before applying the acrylic. Otherwise, it's a great starter kit! Just wish it had everything you need.
