    • Not easy to assemble, but totally sturdy when done right.
First off, this is a high level do-it-yourself project. Think like IKEA level of difficulty. The instructions are really well written, if you go slow and read, it is doable. Took me about 3 hours. You do have make sure the CAMs are fully tightened and double check- I got to the end and found two CAMs I’d missed before I stood it up. Also, per the instructions, the back panel must be affixed before standing up. I think the people with the video of it wobbling totally did something wrong. I messed up on the very last step, and did not overlap the back panel- so it hangs off the end by 1/2 an inch. Oh well- no big deal, is sturdy and looks great, just take your time on assembly! ... show more

This looks exactly like the advertised picture! It's a beautiful piece of furniture; I've gotten a lot of compliments on it already! I was worried after reading reviews from others that it's very unstable. I don't find that to be true at all! Mine is very sturdy abs I was able to move it songs just fine with it maintaining its structure completely. It never once felt fragile or felt like it would come apart or come loose from anywhere. This was a great purchase! I'M SO glad I got this! I homeschooling, and bought this to store our homeschool supplies, books, and other learning materials. I use the bottom compartments for shoes, so my kids don't just kick them off anywhere in my house. I can't stand that! Anywhere, the cubby compartments are large, and fit everything I needed to store neatly, and it's also easily accessible for the kids to get themselves. On the backing of this unit, there are hole punch-outs you can access if you'd like, to run electrical cords neatly through. This really is a great affordable piece of furniture. Extremely heavy and not easy for one woman to complete. Instructions were clear and easy to follow but some of the holes were off and the screw heads stripped on several of them.

I LOVE this bookshelf. I want one in every room. It fits our space perfectly and has made such a difference keeping the baby's toys and books organized. I also love that I can use the top of the bookshelf for seasonal decor or more storage. It's very sturdy and does not wobble at all. We still installed the anti-tip strap just in case. I wish the rest of the collection was available because I would get the tall bookshelf in white too. For those saying how difficult it was to assemble-- it's not. It does take a couple of hours, but the instructions are excellent, detailed and have pictures showing exactly what hardware you need (you can even hold the screw up to the life-size picture in the instructions if you're questioning if you have the correct one). I even had a beer while assembling and got it right the first time. *Gasp* I know! ... show more

    • I am very pleased with look and build of the bookcase
One caveat was the back panel was not aligned correctly, so I had to chave 1/4 inch off one side the used glue and Nails to apply. It seems alot bookcases the panels are not aligned properly had same problem from another manufacturer. Its pretty easy to assemble and contructions are easy to follow. Mine arrived with corner of the top busted the packaging didn't show any damage. I was suprised since was protected well, but I deal with interior logistics these things sometime happens don't fault sauder. I called the number the person I spoke with was very helpful and quickly sent the top out. The top arrtived in two days. I highly reccomend this bookcase looks very nice in the room ... show more

After looking for months for something to organize my office/work room, I came across these and decided to give them a shot. My initial plan was to paint them white and to paint the label holders black. Once assembled, I decided that none of that was necessary. In this photo, you will see two of these units as well as two additional shelving units from the same “Sauder” line that I purchased and put on top. I also purchased baskets which has all of my tools and craft supplies. I have received so many compliments and I could not be happier with these units.
