My husband and I loved the size and the metal frame...but the original design compressed wood isn't our style. My husband bought maple and he cut the slab to create a nature design we liked. He replaced all the pressed wood MDF with solid wood. I cleaned then stained the newly joined wood table then sealed it. The table was a great base either way!! We couldn't fulfill step 8 to install the bushings. The holes didn't match the diagram. I called customer service, sent them a photo, and still couldn't do it. We left them out. Sauder tries to give good detailed directions, but it didn't work for us. The table is very cute and small for our small room; just the right size in front of a love seat.     • Lightweight formica top, returning this table.
Returning this item. The metal pieces are great, but the top is equivalent to a lightweight formica counter and the side pieces feel more sturdy than the top. We did not put it together, we decided to return it beforehand.
