  • 5.0 out of 5 stars My one pair of shoes for 2 wks in Italy
Size: 11 Color: Black/Gum
Our family packed light as we all used Osprey backpacks for our Italian adventure. Due to limited space, I decided I was going to only bring one pair of shoes for the entire journey. Enter the Saucony Triumph 19s. I own a pair of Triumph 18 that probably have between 500-1000 walking/jogging miles on them, so I knew that there would be a great chance that this Triumph 19 pair would help keep my feet comfortable. We did not officially track the numbers of miles we walked and number of stairs we went up, but estimated 5-10 miles per day, and many steps up/down Duomos around Italy. We also hiked trails between all villages in Cinque Terre. Thankfully, my feet felt great the entire trip just as I had hoped. These will likely become my new running shoes very soon at home as my pair of 18s are on their last legs. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Soft daily trainer
Size: 13 Color: Reverie
I've run in Brooks Ghosts for the past four years, but I wanted to dry a show with less of a drop and more cushioning. These fit the bill so I tried them out. I've not put a ton of miles on them yet, but they really are a soft ride. I had ankle reconstruction surgery about two years ago, so cushioning running impact is a big deal in minimizing swelling for me. I was easily able to put over 4 miles in these without any swelling or discomfort. I don't think I'll be setting any pace personal bests in these as they're not exactly responsive, but they are comfortable on the midfoot strike. They're pretty cool looking too. The only complaint I have is the footbed is rougher than my Ghosts creating a little more friction in the shoe. Granted, I'm running in the Houston, TX area, so for me to say the shoe gets hot is a little silly. In Houston, everything is hot year round. But the inside of this shoe does get pretty warm around mile 3. The upper is sufficiently ventilated. it's really the footbed creating that heat. If you're looking for a 5k daily trainer for mid-pace runs, this is a really nice shoe. If you're trying to win your next 10k, look for something more responsive. I also like the wide footbed. You don't have to worry about turning an ankle in these as the midfoot is pretty wide. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Supports running. Okay for walking/standing
Size: 12.5 Color: Black/White
These shoes are very comfortable when you choose the right size. For my husband they ran a little small and he needed to go half a size up. He wore them out all day and they worked well, but didn’t prevent his feet from hurting at the end of the day.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Very cushy
Size: 10 Color: Reflexion Black/White
I'm a 66 yr male, starting running again after a long hiatus and am currently training for a half marathon (now up to 10 mile long runs, about 25 miles a week). I need a very cushioned shoe to protect my feet and ankles. I rotate these in with my older Hoka Bondis and have no pain during or after runs. I also have a pair just for walking and they're immensely comfortable. I like the ample toe room. The mesh upper fabric helps in warm weather. I still prefer Bondis but these are a close second and the price is unbeatable. The footprint is more narrow than Bondis and they feel slightly lighter (I'm not sure they really are though). I went a little crazy and bought several pairs, given the very low price and high quality of the shoe. I don't regret it. The only nit is that the laces are a bit long and often drag and fray and I sometimes have to stop and adjust. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Good product
Very good quality shoe. Good cushioning and accurate sizing. Arch support is okay, but I had to change to more supportive insoles because of plantar fasciitis. The material on the toebox area is not very durable as I have had some of my 1st toes wear through.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Son buenas en líneas generales pero esperaba que fueran mas amortiguadas
Size: 9 Color: White/Black/Vizi
... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Firm but Soft
Size: 12.5 Wide Color: Black/White
I'm not a runner. I walk all day on a cement floor. Most of my co-workers go through 2-3 pairs of shoes a year. I bought 3 pairs of Hokas when I first started because they have a big rep for cush. I'd call them spongy, and the Mach 4s, Cliftons, and Bondi 7s are pretty good at cutting down on the pounding. I've worn them twice, and I think I like these Saucony's better. The Triumph foam is much firmer but oddly seems more comfortable and controlled, like the difference between a bag of jello and memory foam. It never disappears and almost feels damped like a shock absorber, giving way but never sinking to the bottom. I was afraid about comfort at first. They feel like they have a heel cup insert. A leading edge that you feel right after your arch. Is it intended to be a heel cup, or is it an arch support that supports very little, and that's in the wrong place? I've had arch supports in the wrong place before, and they hurt. This feels weird, but hasn't hurt. Neither has the lack of any noticeable arch support. These shoes hold my heel better than the Hokas. I'm guessing that as long as you don't need direct arch support, these will be superior for anyone with a "heavy foot" They are also very light and with extreme ventilation. Quite comfortable. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was that I have no idea how durable they will be. I'm guessing they will be the better choice, and I'm strongly considering buying a 2nd pair straight away. I'm impressed. ... show more
