Description

Runs smooth. Feels amazing. Every bit of the Guide 15 was designed with three things in mind: total comfort, a light feel, and an unbelievably smooth ride. It’s softer, it’s springier, and it’s made to hug your foot like nothing else you’ve put on before. Delivering the running experience of your dreams, only it’s very, very real.

  • Super comfortable
Size: 12.5 Color: Alloy/Topaz
Bought these to replace my Asics Gel Nimbus as that model's pricing had gone through the roof. I didn't expect much from it for the pricing, but read great reviews from the various running websites and figured it was worth a shot. I am super happy I did! I have been battling the dreaded plantar fasciitis due to a separate injury and cushioning is extremely important to me. I have tried several other shoes trying to find something comparable to the Nimbus and Kayano, but none of them compared until I tried these. They have a great rocker that keeps you moving forward and plenty of room in the toe box to allow your toes some freedom. The lacing is simple and does not have any friction like others I have had that remind me of nails on a chalkboard. They also allow you to easily tie your shoes without the additional pressure on the top of the foot that can cause that wonderful throbbing sensation. I will be purchasing another pair for sure. ... show more

  • Very interesting footstrike profile. Otherwise nice and supportive/cushiony
Size: 12 Color: Acid/Blue Raz
I tend to supinate or under-pronate which means that my shoes wear on the outer edges both on the heel and midfoot. This shoe at first feels like it's exaggerating that type of motion for me, with the inner edge feeling like it hits the ground first unless you alter your gait/strike. But that isn't borne out with the wear pattern so far and I've had some great times on 2 mile runs on the treadmill without any pain, injuries or contributing to my already existing issues such as being prone to IT band problems. I like this shoe. It's lightweight and very cushiony. I'd say it's about in the middle of the road as far as overall support but the arch support is better than average. When you have a shoe of this type that is this lightweight, you're going to give up some support through the use of thinner/lighter materials, but this model is much more supportive than other Saucony lightweights like the Kinvara 13. I have also bought this shoe for my wife and she likes it a lot. We have completely different foot types and she's not a runner, but she does value stability and cushion. These deliver for both of us. You could easily run a marathon, 10k, or 5k in this shoe, but it tends toward the Hoka level of separation of your foot's sole from the road. So this particular model is more geared towards the 10k or marathon where the Ride 15 is a "faster" shoe and, IIRC, has a carbon or other hard material "spring" built into the mid-sole. So far I have nothing to complain about with this pair of Sauconys and they are always improving what needs to be improved and leaving what needs to be left alone in every subsequent model year. If you want supreme cushion, and not just the feel of it without the reality, these are a great option. They aren't the springiest running shoes out there, and the rise is a bit too much to use as weight/athletic trainers (for my body geometry and preferences anyway) but they are excellent in terms of orthopedics and support. Long story short I love this shoe for what it does, but don't expect it to do things that only "super shoes" or those with "superfoam" and state of the art midsole plates made of carbon fiber and other exotic materials to do. ... show more

  • Comfortable Shoe
Size: 11 Wide Color: Black/White
Shoe is very comfortable and feels like it has good support. The cushion is soft without feeling squishy. I'm considering buying the same shoe in different colors.

  • Good, solid shoe. Definitely recommend.
Now I don’t run, so if you’re looking for an expert review on that, I’m not your guy. Saucony came recommended to me by a running coach I know and had reached out to about buying a solid show for daily use. Between work and walking the dog a few times a day, I can put 17,000 to 23,000 steps in during the busy time. And if I was a marathon runner, I’d be classified up in the Clydesdale range. Way up. Originally picked up a pair of Ride on Woot in a sweetheart open box deal. Those shoes, and a pair of Brooks Caldera got me through last year. This year I picked up a pair of Ride and a pair of Guide on Amazon. Very happy with both. And when I get a chance, I’ll probably get a new pair of the Brooks Caldera also. I figure I’m buying last seasons model and that’s fine. The price is right. And honestly, if money weren’t an issue, I’d have no problem paying full price for the current version. If you spend a lot of time on your feet and just want a comfortable daily shoe, these are great. ... show more

  • Good shoe, BUT, it did not fit my feet well.
Size: 10 Color: ACID/BLUE RAZ
This shoe had a lot of promise in the reviews and from my previous experience with Saucony shoes, but the fit just didn't work for me. I generally wear a size 10 but they were a bit big/sloppy. I exchanged them for a size 9.5, and while standing they seemed ok, but after running in them, it was evident that they were just too narrow for me. The odd thing was it was only the right show that was too narrow. I blame my foot and not the product. I think Saucony is a great brand and I would have really enjoyed this shoe if it fit my foot properly. In spite of the poor fit on MY feet, they had potential! They are light weight, responsive, and well cushioned. This is what I was looking for. I still recommend these shoes for others and I believe they will serve others well. If you are curious. I went with the Brooks Launch which as similar features. I have had this shoe previously and I would also consider this as an option if this is the type of shoe you are looking for Good luck! ... show more
