  • It has no support but it's an easy and it's still worth the buy.
For over a decade of my life, quite possibly much longer, I've been using 10.5 shoes for running and this has been a MAJOR mistake. Every time I start running again my calves, arches in my feet and the front of my feet hurt. I'm not sure why I've always gone with 10.5 shoes but I definitely regret it. After Googling what I could be doing to help with calve and foot pain and reading "measure your feet" I finally caved and was like, all right, let's see. My feet are size 11 and running shoes should be .5 - 1 larger than what you normally wear. I felt like an idiot and so my shoe search began. I chose these running shoes because they're not made strictly for trail but are also good for road/pavement running, looks nice, affordable, prime shipping and has a ton of 5-star reviews. Opening them up they really do look nice, they're light and the quality feels lasting. Unfortunately there is 0 support in these shoes. There's this thin tiny black "cushion" (if that's what you would call it, it's closer to a cardboard cutout) on the bottom of the shoes where your feet go. I tossed them out because I already know they're going to be useless. Instead I had a spare foot insole cushions and I put those in and went for my first run in them and it was AMAZING. 0 foot pain, 0 calve pain, 0 leg/thigh soreness. I ran 3 miles which normally takes me an average of 8:44/mile down to a MASSIVE 7:47/MILE DROP! I couldn't believe it. I mean, I could but I couldn't. I felt so good, which is not something I'm used to feeling immediately after a good run. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF GOOD RUNNING SHOES. I'm not terribly upset about lacking foot support in these shoes. For just $8-$12 more you can buy running shoe insoles. Still makes them more affordable than the majority of other 5-star reviewed shoes. Plus, they're light, look nice and the quality is good. It's gonna last a while for sure. I also just like that they look like running shoes. SO MANY running shoes have those weird things on the bottom that makes them look HUGE on your feet especially from the heal, and I'm just like why. Or they have this "stoney," "pebble," or "spring" look and they're just not my style. These are running shoes to me and I really like them. Also, the day I started running again was the day I developed restless legs and every since I got these shoes, I don't have restless legs anymore. I don't know if this was the fix because I also started stretching more, used TMS massage therapy, along with calve and knee sleeves but I'm also sure it wasn't any single one of these that did the trick but all of them. I'm also sure that the shoes are what helped the most. All these years using 1 full size smaller shoes than what I should have been wearing. My toes are better spread out now also. I don't know what else to tell you. Buy them. Just make sure you also buy running shoe insoles with them as well. ... show more

  • These shoes are great- good looking, well made, very comfortable and inexpensive!
I bought my first pair about two years ago at Beall's. I tried them and found they ran about 1/2 size small so I tried a size 10. The fit was great, the black, gray and even the yellow on the sole was tasteful. I have worn these shoes almost daily for the past two years and they still look great and the sole barely shows any tread wear at all. I decided to buy another pair if I could find some. Naturally I went to Amazon first and sure enough they were in stock. Since they were selling at $20 less than I paid two years ago, I decided to buy two pair for future use after I wear out the ones I am currently wearing. I have nothing to say negative about these shoes. I highly recommend them to everyone. Saucony makes great shoes and I know if you buy this model you will love them and you will like the price too! ... show more

  • Good shoes.
Good durable shoes. They are firm but in the 2E they are very comfortable. I wish I got a 4E because they run narrow in the toe box. The rest of the shoes upper is very comfortable. One thing I appreciate is vertical room. I am shocked how many shoes are tight sideways and vertically. I mean they have no room above the toes. This is very uncomfortable, makes feet hot and leaves no room for much needed insoles. Other than the toe box being a little narrow there are no hot spots or heel slipping, when I walk, and the mid foot is comfy. They breathable in the toe area too. I have low arches, and there is a nice arch built into the shoes (for low arches at least, but I am sure it helps anyone). Most shoes do not have this. You can see this in the side view pictures. If the toe box was wider and the cushion was more plush/softer I would of given them five stars. ... show more

  • Comfortable. Great looking and great color.
These shoes are good. They feel good and are comfortable. They're shoes for running. I haven't tried running in them yet, but did walk in them and they're comfortable, no doubt. Fair price and good customer service. The color is great (black) and can fit with both formal and casual outfits... Bottom line, as a new Saucony customer, I'm satisfied by their product and probably will buy from them again when needed. There are more pros and cons about this model (Cohesion 10) online, but I don't really understand the terms they used, so they don't matter in my eyes. My point is that they're comfortable and that's what's important to me personally. Hopefully they last good for a good while. ... show more

  • great feeling and long lasting
Best fit and feel. I wear these all the time as I did with the nearly identical pair before these (some other model but seem about the same). I have 2 pairs of much more expensive Nike shoes that I just can't enjoy wearing when I have these much more comfortable shoes. The prior pair held up to a long period of hard use (years....). Long enough that they looked bad and annoyed my wife but they worked so well. This new pair let me toss those out (way past donation condition!). Think i will order another pair right now so I can have a clean pair and a working pair. For around 30 bucks these are a steal. For a higher price they are still good (think I paid 50-ish the first time). NOTE on weather and these shoes: They breath and let your feet have air (repetitive here I guess) which feels great. They are NOT, however, good for rain and slush. Not that anyone would think running shoes are snow/rain shoes but this does vary and these are not for that. Water will come right in over the top if you let it. But great for hot days and not having hot feet. ... show more
