My keyboard takes up almost half of mat. There is no way to use ergonomic keyboards and mice with this mat. I either have to place my keyboard half off the mat, which completely changes the angle, or place my wrists at the very bottom of the mat to type normally. Also, as mentioned, it slides all over. It is supposed to provide me relief to my hands, wrists, forearms, etc... from the surface of the desk but I find the the stitching around the edge of the mat very irritating. Because I have to keep my hands so low on the mat my watch band keeps getting caught on the edge of the mat. Rather than offer a separate mouse pad, at $10.00, just make a bigger mat, preferably without the stitching. I gave it three stars because it does seem nice and well made and it appears to work great for most users. But mainly, I gave it three stars because Satechi is usually spot on with their products. I have been incredibly happy with all of the products I have gotten and used from Satechi. This product seems well executed but poorly designed. It's cool it works for most users. This pad came in a flat thin box which meant right out of the packaging it laid flat on my desktop. No signs of wear after six month of heavy use. Easy to clean and feels nice on the wrists.

I find that my handwriting looks neater when writing on a softer surface than a glass or wood desk, so was looking for something to not only protect my wood desk, but also a soft, smooth writing surface. Other desk pads I've used in the past have protected the desk, but the writing surface was almost as hard as the desk. This desk pad is just-the-right-amount of soft and smooth. Some reviews out there say that it's a disappointment that the pad slides around and doesn't stick in place on the desk. That doesn't bother me, because I've used desk pads in the past that had a non-slip surface on the back and they've ended up deteriorating, and sticking to the desk, causing damage or at least a messy clean-up. The mat came unrolled (nice because this means that it would readily lay flat) and packaged extremely well. The quality of everything from the packaging to the product itself exceeded my expectations. The mat has the look and feel of genuine leather and is quite thick and weighty. More expensive than most desk mats but the quality is very good. Helps make my desk space look clean and organized. It does slide a bit. It's ok for me because I like to move the mat up when I want extra desk space. Hopefully they start to add more designs in the future. Would recommend.

This is a really nice desk mat. The feel is very "premium". I wish it were slightly larger... maybe another 2" all around, but I'm not gonna deduct any stars for this because I knew the measurements before I ordered it.
