    • Missing parts.....but Bush is mailing them......
Expect several hours to put this together.....I grew up building model cars and planes so this was right up my alley ( I didn't ask for help from the wife or kids ) Has a great look to it, heavy but still it is glued together wood shavings (partical board). I don't expect to move it so no worries. I am 6'2" so I was worried about the height, I fit!!! Even with my chair up high enough I don't have to fold my leggs to get under it. Plenty of room on the top and the black top is great accent to the wood ( I guess I should say wood color, no wood involved) I was missing 3 parts and one part was broke. Package was not damaged w/ I received it so it happened in the factory. The parts were for two drawers, so I was able to put most of it together on a Saturday, then wait for Monday to call Bush to get the replacement parts. FedEx says the shipment will be here 5 days later...Funny, while typing this, FedEx showed up with the parts.....very well packaged and doubled the parts I ordered?!?.. The desk does have heavy 3-part metal actions for the file drawers, cheaper ones for the small drawers. The one thing I would change on this: Add a hole for the electrical cords, I have went to Lowes and bought a plastic insert w/ cap for the top and near the bottom to run power cords so they aren't hanging over the side. Also got the lateral file w/ hutch and two book shelves and they match perfect, only 2 1/2 days of putting it all together (with the wife helping on the bookshelves) ... show more

I did not read reviews before buying, if I did I would not buy. Assembling this desk is a pain, way too many pieces & too much technicalities, the manufacturer could have put some of these together. Took us 16hrs to assemble. Be prepared to put in some real work and Goodluck with that. On a positive note, the end product is fine. ... show more

I ordered this desk after MUCH shopping for my home office since I'm working from home much longer than I'd expected (COVID-19). My dining room table would no longer do! This desk took me a week (I'm a 65 yr old woman) to put together but I was able to do most of it by myself. (I did use a power screwdriver that had adjustable tork on a few of the screws). The instructions are very clear and all the pieces were well constructed and fit together well. I now have the best desk I've ever had. It is exactly what I wanted and more. ... show more

Since my real review was censored by the establishment, and not returned for modifications, I realize that similar to other places, facts don’t matter. But at least Bush Furniture will be replacing the damaged parts. 7/11/2020 Update It took about 3 days for me to assemble the desk; so many pieces. I wouldn’t have been so upset about my wasted time, if the final product was worth it. The head of a screw fell off while I was manually screwing it in; I had to gorilla glue that part to prevent it from falling apart. Also, I primary bought this desk because I wanted the dual locked drawers. Well the drawers can’t lock; mechanism hits the top of the lock catch on the bottom drawer, it feels like the key is going to break in the lock so neither drawers lock. All drawer fronts on the left side are tilted to the right, even adjusting the drawer fronts didn’t help because the holes are predrilled; created huge gap on left-side of left drawers top. Top drawer initially couldn’t close because left half hit the desk top. Calling the company was not helpful; they’re only prepared to send out parts not troubleshooting. This is such a disappointment. Definitely not worth $500!!!! ... show more

Love this desk! More beautiful than I imagined! I combined it with two black filing cabinets. My computer and accessories are all black. Looks great. I made a mistake putting it together and I thought I was missing some parts. I called Bush, who sent me the parts. I received them promptly, but had already found them. They did not charge me... A word of warning- read the instructions carefully. Even though the instructions say you need assistance for some steps, I put the desk together completely by myself, and I'm 66! Really great desk for a really great price. Assembly can be tedious, but if you take your time with it (i split over two days, but should be able to complete in 5-7 hours depending on experience), you will find a magnificent looking, functional power desk. I love it!

After using this desk for three years I am satisfied with it for the price I paid. It has stayed in good condition even after one move. The exception is the trim around the desk top, it appears to be some kind of contact paper that is lifting along the front edge that comes in contact with your body from time to time as you move in and out in your chair. The company was also good to work with when the shipping company damaged the top they ended up sending me two complete tops with no questions asked. I would buy it again if I needed a good looking desk for a great price that would last me five or six years. ... show more

The finished desk is nice but there were a mind boggling number of pieces and parts. Several pilot holes were not drilled, which caused the center drawer to fit incorrectly. Had to take it apart, adjust and re-drill. Took the better part of two days to assemble.
