Very thin and light. Display quality is good for pure color and acceptable for photos with mostly warm color. The only annoying thing is that you have to hold the phone for quite a while to refresh, but this is due to physics and I don't think there's much to do about it.

Love this product!! it’s been a lot of fun to experiment with! I originally bought it to see if we could use it as small signage in our office as shelf labels or desk signs, and it actually worked out really well. It feels like great value for the price as you can rewrite the screen as many times as you want. One of the things I appreciate most is how sleek and lightweight it is. I was able to easily mount it on different walls using double sided tape, which makes it super versatile for various setups. A couple of things to note: the screen does take a bit longer to refresh, so it’s best suited for uses where you don’t need to update the display frequently. It comes with a name tag clip and a stand, so you can start using it right away without needing extra accessories. Plus, the companion app is free and easy to download from the Apple App Store. This is a great display! The combination of NFC and no power connection make this useful for a variety of ideas. I’m attaching this one to the window of my office door at work to show my status (whether I’m in a meeting, whether it’s okay to come in, whether I’m in the office at all that day, etc.). I can just have this on my door and hold my phone to it whenever I close my door to update the reason for the door being closed. It’s a little inconvenient that it takes 10-20 seconds to update, but not a big deal. The resolution is high enough to look decent without pixels being too distracting for most images. Text should be kept fairly large to look smooth and readable. It’s impressive how good many photos can look with only black, gray, red, and yellow. Even if you’re displaying signs with only solid colors, these four give a lot of options. The size of the 4” one is great for close-up viewing, but I have a feeling I’ll be ordering a 7.5” one when they’re released later this year as an upgrade for my office door. The display is very thin! I was originally considering a similar product from Waveshare, but I’m glad I found the Santek one because it looks so much more sleek and modern (and it comes in a 4-color option). The build quality seems solid. Programming is a little hit or miss with my iPhone 17. Most simple designs (solid colors) program quickly and easily without having to carefully align my phone with the display, even with a case on my phone. For anything complex like photos, I have to take my case off my phone, hold it close to the back side of the display, and hold it rotated landscape relative to the display. It took a while to figure all that out, but once I found just the right way, I can reliably program any image. If it weren’t for this fiddliness, I would have rated this five stars. It came with a few handy accessories and all of it was packaged thoughtfully with a place for each of the contents, not just thrown in a box. That little extra bit of care provides a noticeable boost of my in confidence in the manufacturer. The price is very fair. It’s low enough that I’ll probably buy a couple more over the years for specific purposes, but if they could bring it down 30% or more it would be low enough that I’d probably have a dozen or more uses for these in different sizes. The Waveshare one has one advantage — programming it is password-protected. So it can’t be vandalized by setting an unwanted image when it’s left in a public area. There is a small bit of lint of plastic shaving between the display panel and the front of the case. It’s not very noticeable except on close inspection, but it does bother me that it’s there. I considered returning it and ordering a replacement, but ultimately decided it’s not worth the cost to the manufacturer. I WILL be ordering more of these in the future, so if this isn’t a one-off problem I have further issues I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it. Excellent. Easy to use and comes with everything you would need to put on a wall or door, to make a hanging badge, or uses as a table top sign. Images and lettering is crisp and clear. No issues at all updating the display. Two pointers. It doesn’t work with my MagSafe phone case but thats not a big deal. Don’t move your phone or the display when updating. Just lay the phone on top of the display and leave it until updated. The app will also show you if your phone is in the correct position. ... show more

I love anything that has an e-ink display in it or on it. I by chance found this on Amazon’s web page and had to have it. It so thin and light and the display is crisp and clear. The phone app is pretty clear on how to use it. Since I got the 4 color display it is a bit slow and that is to be expected. I used my Galaxy 23 Pro with no issues. Pictures came out fairly well. This display is ment for printed words and numbers, like name tags or item prices but it good enough for about anything you want to display. It did not work as advertised. The app is straightforward but constant communications issues. After multiple attempts the display failed to show what was transmitted. This should be an easy to use product but it doesn’t work. I used my iPhone 16max without a case and the connectivity was still poor.
