Definitely a great price, but like others have mentioned, it runs a bit large... My head measurement was sized exactly between a Medium and a Large, as there's a 1 mm gap between the two sizes... bought a Large, could easily have gone with a medium with space to spare because the headband around the helmet is a loose foam and easily compressed. The liner is not removable but the core under it is accessible and can be sized to fit better using adhesive backed foam or felt like moleskin. Other than that, it's lightweight and pretty low profile, so no mushroom head with this one, and DOT Legal... Long term use we'll have to see about, but good enough for me to write a positive review on... Meant more to stay legal than for utmost in safety, but if safety was the prime driving factor, you'd be looking at a full face helmet and not a half helmet... ... show more

Well it is well priced but if you are looking for a helmet that is low profile like as emphasised in the title then this product isn't for you. It gives the mushroom head appearance when wearing it. It's pretty big and bulky even with the medium size that I purchased. The reviews don't seem accurate

this helmet is labeled as DOT.. I dont think it meets USA DOT/SNELL standards and requirements but if You want a light weight helmet it is low profile and uses double mounted riveted straps with a quick connect chin strap.. mine is matte black and ran just a little bit large but tightening the chin strap made it feel comfortable... it MIGHT provide some protection in a low speed crash but if SAFETY is your concern I would say get a name brand helmet from a manufacturer that has a good reputation ... show more
