  • BLACKVUE DR900S.. YES!! Please read............
Capacity: 256 GB Style: Card Only
Here is my experience with my purchase of the SanDisk 256GB High Endurance Video microSDXC Card. I currently have a Blackvue DR900S 2CH dashcam system installed with a Samsung EVO 128GB SD Card. Nothing wrong with this card. The Samsung SD card has treated me well for over a year and has supplied me with quality footage with reliability. I wanted to upgrade to a higher capacity, high endurance SD card without paying an arm and a leg. Our Minnesota summers can get quite hot and humid. The cabin of my car gets pretty steamy hot and frigid in the winter. I wanted a High Endurance SD card that'll last with our Minnesota seasons. I went through tons of reviews on many SD products and checked all of what Amazon had to offer before I made the decision on this SanDisk 256GB High Endurance Video microSDXC Card. I was pretty skeptical with the low reviews here. I took a chance because other vendor sites sold this specific 256GB card at around the same price. I like Amazon's return policy so I took the chance here. On to the review. The thing to know off the bat is that this SD card is factory formatted as "exFAT." This factory format is not compatible with Blackvue dashcams. I spent countless hours trying to get this 256GB SD card + adapter to read in multiple Windows 10 laptops. Please remember "Windows 10." Out of curiosity, I then slotted the 256GB SD card into an android device just to make sure I wasn't going crazy. My android device was able to validate the storage and read the SD card... So now.. knowing that it works, I went on a limb and turned on an old laptop loaded with Windows 7. To my surprise, the SanDisk 256GB High Endurance Video microSDXC Card loaded up and I was able to see the drive!!!!!! I do not have Mac products so I cannot say for sure if this'll pop up for Mac. I can only imagine it would work with Mac. While it was plugged into my Windows 7 laptop, as soon as I saw the drive, I opened up the FAT32FORMAT GUI from RidgeCorp to format it to FAT32. Note, you will have to make sure all windows showing the drive are closed. You should only be seeing your desktop and the FAT32FORMAT GUI from RidgeCorp. Otherwise you'll receive an error that the drive is still in use when you try to format it to FAT32. Did a quick format and within seconds, I was ready to rock. Placed the badboy into my Blackvue DR900S and it booted up! The camera formats the card as it does with any new SD card. After testing this out, I have not noticed any drop in quality from my Samsung EVO 128GB card to this. I did not experience any stuttering in 4K playback. I really hope this helps avoid stress and hassle for the next person who purchases this or any SD card for their dashcam system. 250+ GB of available storage for my 2CH dashcam system is an amazing win. ... show more

  • SanDisk makes requesting warranty difficult - I do not recommend!
Capacity: 256 GB Style: Card Only
This SanDisk Card failed after 5 weeks of use! With that said, I hate the registration process that SanDisk has on their website! To give you an idea of how bad it is, most people know that the MicroSD card is a bit smaller than your little fingers finger nail. The SanDisk Serial Number, all twelve digits, is on the MicroSD card. You better have a magnifying glass! Their website is even worse! You will have to make five different selections to register the product properly - this is after you clicked on submit, only to be told that an additional selection must be made. Again, it is not an easy process or user friendly. I doubt people will go through the time consuming process to register their MicroSD card! Okay, so the 256 GB card sent to me failed after a few weeks. Calling SanDisk Customer service was a waste of time - they said that an email would be sent for product return... I made several calls before they sent an email. Calling Amazon customer support was a waste of time, they just put you back in touch with SanDisk! The email sent will take you back to SanDisk's website... which will ask for product info and serial number... I referee the reader to the first few paragraphs above. Again, SanDisk makes it very difficult. Now, to get warranty on the failed card, one must have registered the product... which again, SanDisk DOES NOT make easy. Then you have to provide a photo of proof of purchase... so if Amazon bothers to send a receipt, keep it, because you will need it. Then, you will have to have clear photos of the front and back of the MicroSD card sent to SanDisk in order to get warranty. To get a clear shot of the MicorSD serial number, use a strong magnifying glass and your cell phone, then blow up and crop the photo... then send it to SanDisk... and see if SanDisk (Western Digital) will stand behind their product! Also, keep in mind, while talking to SanDisk, you will end up repeating yourself over and over. They will also remind you that your Dash Cam requires High Endurance MicroSD cards in order to work properly... not sure why they had to tell me that because that's what I ordered; that's what I've been using; that's what failed; and that is what I am trying to get warranty replacement done. Again, SanDisk doesn't make any of this easy! Why is this so important for me to write a review about... If I had not checked the Dash Cam, I wouldn't have known that the SanDisk MicroSD card had failed. In other words, it is unreliable and you won't know if it will be working if and when an accident occurs. Just something to think about before ordering this item! ... show more

  • Stay Away
Capacity: 128 GB Style: Card Only
Not sure of the bona fides or authenticity of these cards but, well, the 128GB card I got was dead out of the packaging. In Windows, on multiple computers, it shows only 30.6MB (not to mention not being remotely close to GB) capacity. Card failed to initialize or be recognized in several dash cams. This is definitely one to avoid, maybe seller specific - who knows, and worthy of being returned. ... show more

  • Not compatible with BlackVue
Capacity: 128 GB Style: Card Only
Blackvue dashcam immediately flagged this as failing. Blackvue cams are the most reliable on the market because they check that the SD card is good. You need to use SLC memory with them. I was hoping that since this was "high endurance" they had provided similarly good memory, but it was too good to be true. ... show more
