Had this TV for 4 years. Works flawlessly. I saw other review that said picture was blotchy and squared off in places. That's because they didn't have the proper voltage going to it. It happened to me also so I took the receptacle out and could tell that the wires were not making good contact. Once I got the proper voltage and amperage allowed to go to the wires it's work flawlessly. Before I read about the voltage lost can cause that to happen half of my TV on the left side had gone out. And I know that's a characteristic of TVs going bad. But I'd only had this TV for a short amount of time and so I thought maybe something else was wrong other than it just wearing out. And so now a year later after I fix my receptacle it works perfectly ... show more

    • Worth the money and time.
This TV has a spectacular picture - 4K videos are unbelievable, but even 1080 and even black and white movies are terrific. It's well worth the money. Amazon's people deliver it and set it in place, turning it on to make sure it works, but one does one's own setup. Setup is a little fussy; the mimimalist remote takes a little getting used to and typing in passwords with it is tedious, but after that it's fine, and can be used to operate a cable box or a DVD player. If you have a Tivo you'll still need that remote, though. I had a Sony Bravia before this one and it was nice, but this one is fantastic. ... show more

Great picture and decent sound from TV speakers. Smart TV features are pretty limited to only apps allowed by Samsung and there are not many of any real interest to me. OS is locked down so you can' t install whatever you want unless you flash unapproved firmware and risk turning your great TV into a $4500 curved brick. All things considered I'm satisfied with this as a great TV. The so called open source TIZEN OS is a flop though because it is locked up to the user.. Keeping my fingers crossed that a SAMYGO rev will come up that works on it. ... show more

Yes, I purchased this about a year ago and it has a beautiful picture and great sound. I looked at the Sony 930 and LG OLED and choose this because the quality seamed to be better, the remote was simpler to use (its idiot simple) and buying this from the warehouse was a real deal. I recommend anyone looking to get something from Amazon check to see if you can get warehouse deals because it was new ready to go. ... show more

Let me start off by saying i am not a tech guy. I have loved samsung tv's for many years. for some reason this 2016 years tvs from samsung are the worst! the ks9500 has significant back lighting issues that not just show on the black bars above and below, but throughout the entire screen. In the light you can barely see the problem but at night or even during the day with the lights off there is lighting issues throughout the whole television. This is ridiculous for a television that cost over 5000 dollars. I never write reviews ever but i want who ever is interested in this television to save your money for something else. I also own a 78 inch samsung from 2015 (JU7500) This tv was not even the top of the line that year and it looks fantastic. Save your money and time because i have tried the 9500 and the 9800 in a matter of a month and i have had issues with both. Do yourself a favor and pick up last years if you can find it or skip out this year. Hope this helps you guys! I am very surprised that there are so many good reviews on this television. I know for a fact that most of the people that buy these tv's most likely are more educated then me. I asked geek squad when they installed it and they told me it is not just my tv it is all the ks9500s due to the edge lit. take care ... show more

This television is by far the most impressive tv that I have watched in a long time. When you think it can't get any better throw in a 4k blu ray. Of course you will have to spring for the upgrade in the 4k blu ray player I did. In my opinion Samsungs has the best one out there for the money. Set up is easy. Wireless connection was a breeze !!! This television is absolutely amazing when you think it can't get any better then bam something else happens in a movie that blows your mind. You say damn I would of never saw that before !!! In my opinion I would recommend this television to anyone who wants quality you get what you pay for !!! Same goes for the 4k blu ray player. ... show more

This has to be the smartest most fantastic TV I have ever known. The remote took me about a day to become comfortable with, but so nice being able to control everything so smoothly. Bouncing from TV to 4k blu ray to Netflix or Amazon is literally lightning fast. I liken it to when I finally began using SSD in my laptop and upgraded ram to 32. Colors are vibrant, the picture modes are easy to switch between. It was even smart enough to know how to control my UVERSE cable box. Amazon did a great job of delivering on-time using enhanced scheduled delivery. My friends were very complimentary of both the design and performance of this device. ... show more

We only bought this curved TV because it had a center stand and it was cheaper than a straight one. We are very happy with this SUHD TV 55inch colors are wonderful, the remote is a pain to use I'm sure after a time of use it will make more sense but after two weeks it's still a problem for me, I looked at the new 2017 models but I felt that the 2016 were a good buy and Amazon still had some left . Only problem we have is our room has a lot of windows so we get reflections on the screen so we have to draw the curtains other than that it's fabulous ... show more
