Supporting up to 15W wireless charging, SmartThings Station can be used as a fast-charging pad. You’ll receive an alert when your device is finished charging. At this point, I don’t even know if I like SmartThings, It’s almost a daily struggle to keep all my devices online, If I wasn’t retired, I would throw the whole thing in the trash and just went back to regular lightbulbs and switches, door sensors. This by far has been the easiest set up and connect. Literally plug it in. Wait for the lights to flash the 3 colors and then once cycle is complete you'll get a window notification pop-up on your device and complete the process and add your smart home items. If for some reason you don't get the pop-up notification don't worry. Go to add devices on your Samsung device and all is good. Easy . Takes approximately 5 mins to complete then add and link your accounts. ... show more

Our apartment comes with a built-in Zen Thermostat Zigbee Edition and we’ve been looking for a hub so we can control the Thermostat via a mobile app. I believe Samsung Smartthings was discontinued before so we tried the Echo Dot but that didn’t work. So I was happy when I found out that they were releasing a newer Samsung Smartthings. And it works seamlessly with our thermostat. So glad to finally be able to control the thermostat from our phones and even set routines on when it will turn on/off! ... show more

I run multiple smart home platforms and non of them are perfect. But Samsung SmartThings is one of the most disappointing systems so far. I have "the Frame TV" and this SmartThings station and the TV and this hub don't actually work well together. I can't turn the Frame TV on Art Mode by pressing the button or laying my phone on the charger, matter of fact there is no way I can turn the thing to art mode through an automation, just the button on the remote. I want to like Samsung and Android. I want to get out of Apple's walled garden, but the wastelands outside are just not functional. Please Samsung or Google or anyone, get your eco-systems working well together. Pretty bad value for money, charging speed is fine-ish for iPhone, It's not big and looks decent for a plastic piece of hardware and was easy to setup. Has been great! Allowed me to get 20+ smart devices off my wifi and controlled locally. Integrate with more services than wifi only bulbs. I would caution that the range is only accurate for 1 floor. Things that are upstairs but maybe 15-20 feet away frequently disconnect. Had to setup a second hub to handle those. Charge speed is great but a non-issue since it's almost always overnight. ... show more
