If you need to upgrade the storage on your Nintendo Switch 2, this Samsung microSD Express 256GB card is the exact one you want. UNLESS you need more than 256GBs. When shopping around, I compared this to the officially licensed, heavily branded cards on the market. With those, you often end up paying a premium "tax" just to have a video game logo printed on a card that you will literally never see once it is inserted into the console. On the flip side, I also looked at the extremely cheap, non-branded generic cards. Those are always a massive gamble; you run a high risk of getting a slow, counterfeit card that ends up corrupting your game save data. This Samsung card hits the absolute sweet spot. It is 100% authentic, which gave me total peace of mind, and the quality is exactly what you expect from a top-tier brand. Great Nintendo brand memory card. It doubles the memory on the new switch 2. I had old memory cards for the original switch but they don’t work with switch 2. This one does and is super easy to use!

I picked up this Samsung microSD Express Card specifically for the Nintendo Switch 2 and it has been flawless so far. The faster Express card standard makes a noticeable difference compared to older microSD cards, with games loading quickly and no stuttering during gameplay. The 256GB capacity is well-suited for the Switch 2's game library where titles are getting larger, and I have not felt cramped in terms of storage yet. The card fits perfectly in the Switch 2's card slot and has not had any detection or reliability issues after several weeks of use. Overall, I loved the micro SD card. At the time of purchase, I had just bought the Nintendo Switch 2. The Switch 2 has significantly more storage (without card) than the Switch, but I was still worried about the future. I am confident I will never run out of storage. As a serious gamer, it’s important to not have to archive games constantly. The only thing stopping me from giving the card five stars is that once I loaded it on, I saw that it only added 238 gigabytes rather than the listed 256. I personally don’t care much as 7 gigabytes don’t make much of a difference, but many people do care, so I thought it was important to note. With all that aside, would strongly recommend.
