I had a 32" monitor for a few years that was connected to my cable TV and my Amazon Fire-Stick. It was nice but it had TWO VERY disturbing problems. The images were stretched vertically a bit so all the people looked tall and skinny. Possibly because the resolution was only 720P. Plus the biggy was the audio volume was really low. I finally got tired enough that I sent for a replacement monitor with 1080P. Got one and it had the same sound problem so I sent it back. One of the many great reasons I love Amazon.com is most of their stuff has free returns! So I sent for # 2. Same results! Then a THIRD one with, you guessed it the same results. But I kept looking and looking and looking. I found a Samsung M5 32" monitor with "built in speakers"! Course all the 4 others had speakers but even with volume maxed it it was pretty low. Got the Samsung M5 on Wed, the 11th. Plugged it in & connected the cable TV and Fire-Stick. The remote has 2 raised buttons near the bottom. I learned the one with a + & - were volume controls. BUT when I pushed it like every other button on every other remote the only thing that happened was a small window with "MUTE" came up. Pushing it again a larger window came up that had "Monitor Speaker" (singular not plural) plus "19" which was obviously the level. NOTHING I did raised the volume even the Quick Start sheet was NO GOOD. Companies are so cheap they don't send the entire printed manuals any more. The Quick Start sheet had an 800 # which I called. They explained that the 2 raised buttons could be pushed IN like all other remote buttons BUT they could be pushed UP or pulled DOWN. This controlled the volume!!!!!!!!!! Why they don't explain this in the Quick Start is beyond me! In over 30 years of using remotes I have never seen this before. It works great! All my cable TV & Fire-Stick channels are not at similar levels. I love the Samsung M5 mainly because I can control the sound volume to a usable level. Samsung has an M7 model which is a newer version with much high resolution & it has the same terrific remote. My BIG complaint, and it's a HUGE one is the Quick Start guide makes NO mention of being able the raise/lower the audio level. Buried among the info it gives a link to DL the full manual. Cheapskates! Pushing the +/- key in only mutes the channel and shows the audio level. Or I can use the Samsung remote to mute. The Cable TV remote mutes correctly. Lastly people still appear tall and skinny which is irksome. ... show more

Good picture and sound quality, only complaint is menu system is not intuitive. Volume button design is not logical, but I'm now used to it. Still, no reason they had to make it different than every other remote I have in my house or have ever owned.

Picture is nice (I use it for work, not gaming), brightness fine though have to change from default setting that was very dim. Smart features work. Only complaint is the sound which seems to come out of the back of the monitor. That’s prob fine if the back of the monitor is against a wall & the sound bounces back towards you, but with my setup facing away from the wall I have to turn it up ridiculously loud to hear a zoom call well. ... show more

I love that this monitor can be used both as a standalone TV as well as a fully functional computer monitor. I have used it for work, gaming, watching TV shows and even some video editing. This is the 1080p version, so I don’t use it for projects that require higher resolution. The setup is highly portable since it can wirelessly connect to my Mac mini, iPhone, or MacBook Pro to be used as a projection display, or a secondary screen. The reason for the 4 star rating is that *sometimes*, the Apple airplay or screen-share connectivity can be somewhat tedious - meaning that I have to close out and re-open the screen on the casting device a few times before it successfully connects. This happens rarely and hasn’t heavily affected my overall user experience. ... show more

Its a 24" TV/Monitor, and easy to move between them with remote. I have a cable box and even that remote works (through cable box). Very easy to install, just follow the instructions. TV remote that comes does not have number keypad, so you will need to jump channels through menu or up/dn channel button. I loved the functionality, size, and overall aesthetics of this monitor/tv. So much so that I bought 2 for my home office. The remote can be a bit confusing but once you figure it out it's very easy to navigate. My only complaint is that 1 year later a monitor has developed horizontal blue lines across half the screen. They both sit in my home office, and haven't been moved or knocked over... at this price point, I would expect the monitor to last me longer than 1 year. I have televisions and monitors from college that have made several moves throughout the years and are still working beautifully. However, this one has stopped working for seemingly no reason whatsoever. I can only hope that the 2nd one doesn't develop the same problem. I have contacted the seller to see if anything can be done to fix it or if a replacement can be sent. Will update. ... show more
