it is something special and it is the most expensive phone that I have ever bought. I mainly bought this not because of some sort of show-off or novelty, but because I wanted a phone that has bigger screen and easy to see and navigate when you use Amazon shopping, facebook or emails. My eye sight isn't what it used to be when I was younger and I really needed a phone that has much bigger screen than traditional smart phone. That was the only reason for buying this expensive folding phone. As for the bigger screen, easy navigation, typing, reading...etc, it is absolutely great. I do not have to use reading glasses, nor make the letters as big as possible. For that, I would have given 5 stars. However, it has some other related issues. Since it is a big phone, it is very heavy. Also, since the screen is so big and also has another 6" screen when it was folded, it uses up a lot of battery power and I can see it draining quite fast. I guess that Samsung had to choose. Make the phone bigger and heavier for bigger battery or make it as portable and slim as possible with less desirable battery life. It is a great phone for me and I am quite happy with it, but due to the weak battery life, I have to give 4 stars, instead of 5. ... show more

I'm not an Android guy, the last Android phone I had was running 4.0, since I've used iPhones over the years. Let me tell you, with the flexibility of the phone, not just literally, but systematically, the amount of choice and customization that can be attained by this device is simply incredible. I've never ever seen another phone that allows you to play a YouTube video in a panel, then have a stock trading app, and a news feed in two side by side panels... ALL at the same time on a screen that is more than generous with space. Then, simply close the screen, and you have a completely fresh front phone experience to make calls and use as a normal phone for GPS, Music stream, etc. All the whole your unfolded experience still persists when you're ready to sit back down and return to your multiplane experience. Battery life is excellent, as with most phones, you need to debloat the software. It takes 10 minutes, and there are plenty of YT videos just for this phone to do it. With the tweaks and cleanup, you should expect at least 8 hours of screen on time. That said, I've never charged over 85% To preserve the battery, and never fully discharged the battery yet. So maybe closer to 10 hours if youre willing to go all out. Quite impressive, given the fact that like 90% of the phone is screens. Never have I ever had this level of flexibility and utility from a portable device. It's made almost all my other devices including my laptop, essentially unused over the last week's. Cameras are the best I've personally ever had in a smartphone, and you have a camera for each level of zoom. Fisheye, normal scene camera, then more of a close up selfie/macroesque camera. Software can zoom through all the lenses automatically. It's VERY cool. I see people complaining about the camera as it's not the one in the S21, I'd love to see that as much as anyone, but unless you're solely getting this for the camera, it's actually pretty great. I've attached a few photos I've taken to this review. Very, very impressed. Obviously, the phone isn't cheap, but I'm a firm believer that the experience of this phone is actually worth FAR more than $1,700 if you can use it and adapt it to what you want. ... show more

The phone is good overall, but I like to point out some flaws. The phone is hot! Yeah Im mean when i play games like Pubg and League, the phone runs really hot on my hands. The battery is also on the lower side, 3 hours game play time is all i got . And by the way Amazon marked this phone non returnable which is odd because even the official website of Samsung allow people to try out the phone 21 days. MAKE NO SENSE. ... show more

I switched from an iPhone 12 pro max. I was completely entrenched in the apple ecosystem. This device was absolutely worth switching for. Literally everything about it is better. Having a display this large that folds into your pocket is a game changer.

This is the future of phones. More than happy with this phone. Get the upgrades, this thing is a beast. It took about a week of getting used to the size and different features. Amazing screen quality, amazing pictures, incredible features, loud speakers. A tiny fraction heavier and slightly thicker when closed but it's WELL worth that. For the price I was REALLY hesitant about buying this phone but since LG had dropped out of the phone development business and my G8 ThinQ had come to the end of it's update life it was time to move on. I had seen and read a number of reviews on the Z fold3 so I decided to take a chance with a Samsung product again, my first since the Galaxy 3. I was a bit put off with no microsd slot or earphone jack but it seems to be the way all phone manufacturers are headed. My overall experience has been excellent in the time I've had the phone. 512 gigs has so far been sufficient for the optional things I like to carry in my phone. Music, movies and pictures. Sound is very good if you can use LDAC from your Bluetooth receivers. If you're in need of a new phone and can afford the investment take a look at the Samsung Z Fold3. Edit: I just received a new Z fold S Pen. I would highly recommend it. The pen opens a whole new selection of things you can do with the phone and IMHO it's well worth the price. ... show more
