Requires initial set up of 10 minutes of outside running with GPS on; smartphone with Android 8.0 or later, 1.5GB or more RAM and Samsung Health app version 6.22 or later. Phone must be within 2 feet of user with snore detection enabled through Samsung Health app version 6.22 or later. Requires Samsung Galaxy Smartphone with Android 7.0 or later, and Samsung Health Monitor app (available only at the Samsung Galaxy app store). The ECG Monitor App intended for adults 22 years and older analyzes pulse rate data to identify episodes of irregular heart rhythms suggestive of AFib and provides a notification suggesting the user record an ECG to analyze the heart rhythm. The IHRN feature is not intended to provide a notification on every episode of irregular rhythm suggestive of AFib and the absence of a notification is not intended to indicate no disease process is present; rather the feature is intended to opportunistically acquire pulse rate data when the user is still and analyze the data when determined sufficient toward surfacing a notification. Edit: i still love my watch, but 8 months in, it had to be sent back to Samsung because it won't charge. Hopefully they can fix the issue. The warranty covered shipping and repairs. Edit#2 My watch battery failed due to other components failing and causing the battery to drain and not charge. The components were replaced as well as the battery. I shipped it on a Tuesday afternoon and they had it fixed and back to me by Friday. Extremely impressed with Samsung's warranty and service. Original review: I've had 2 fitbits, and a Garmin watch before, but haven't worn a watch at all in 3 or 4 years. So getting this watch is like buying a spaceship, they're light years ahead of the last watch I had. Bright, very functional, no delays, sensors are outstanding, and GPS is pretty accurate, though not as accurate as a cell phone yet. I am currently in my house, and my phone shows my exact position, while the watch says I'm 30 feet away, in my driveway. Cannot comment on the battery, but hopefully it is good. Love the rotating bezel. Love the face options. Love that I have google wallet on my wrist and don't need to get my phone out to use it now. Love the step function, heart monitor, and most of the apps that come preloaded. Love how it syncs effortlessly with my S23 Ultra. The main reason I got this watch is because I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, and want to monitor my sleep. So far, the sleep function is awesome, although tracking REM is always iffy with watches, this one seems to be pretty accurate compared to my sleep tests. I broke my back years ago, so I will not be using it to track standard gym type workouts, as most movements required in exercising are very painful, but I do like monitoring my steps and going on long hikes in the mountains so this will be perfect for my limited uses. I have a wrist that is 7.55 inches, so the bands that come with watches never fit and usually go straight into the trash. I got a stretchy cloth band set for $15 on Amazon and each of the 5 colors is so comfortable and look excellent with the black watch. Smart watches have finally realized the potential that they talked about for years and years, and I'm so happy with my new watch. ... show more

The watch is great. It looks good and feels good too. I've not quite got the hang of using apps on it though. To me the battery life could be better. I did purchase a mobile charger for it which helps. But it should last longer to start with.

Ran on a Galaxy Watch Active 2 for 3+ years until recently I submerged it in a hottub and water got in everywhere. Got this to replace it, and its just as great with better features and faster processing. Very fast UI and seamless connection with the wear app. Battery last for days without a charge. I bought the Galaxy Watch 6 so that I could monitor my heart rate, sleep and steps. I particularly needed the availability of taking ECGs to discover Afib. I've worn it for 2+ weeks and am very pleased. The watch paired well with my older S10+ phone and was easy to set up. The display is beautiful and easy to read. I have used the ECG feature many times; I do get some "Poor Recording" notices but generally it seems easy to use once you get the hang of it. I particularly like the Sleep Coaching tips. The only complaints that I have are: 1. The charger did not come with a wall plug and none of the many that I had on hand worked with it. Some prior notification would have been nice so that I could have ordered the Samsung wall plug to arrive at the same time. Annoying. 2. The battery life is not good. Even with the Always on Display off, I charge it at least once daily and top it off before bed because sleep tracking is important to me. 3. I'm not convinced that the heart rate is accurate. The resting heart rate seems correct but I've noticed that, when I take it off of the charger, the heart rate on the watch soars even if I have not been doing much. 4. I did not love the silicone band which came with the watch. I bought one of the Samsung Hybrid T-bands and it is much better primarily due to the tail of the band not going underneath. I would definitely recommend this watch if you are already in the Samsung universe. The ease of use with my older Galaxy phone was well worth it. I was originally going to rate 5 stars because for th price it really doesn't get much better than this but after 3 days it's CONSTANTLY disconnecting from my phone, and this morning it FORCED me to reset it. No option around it because of the connection issue. I was able to back everything up before the reset but took 35 minutes to set it all back up again. Will be returning if this keeps happening. If I walk away from my phone for too long that's when the issues start happening and then it takes 20+ minutes to reconnect it if it can connect at all. The battery life is pretty terrible, not going to lie. I got rid of my $35 off brand watch because it would die after 6-8 hours and this one honestly isn't that much better. Hopefully once it adjusts to the usage it'll be better but my other watch would last DAYS before dying (until I used it to death). Last thing I don't care for- the charger itself. I HATE magnetic chargers and refuse to use them with other products. They suck. And this one sucks also. Make sure the watch is PERFECTLY set on it or else it won't work and God forbid something knock it. Overall, wouldn't buy again. Once this one craps out I'm going back to $40 off brand ones. Much more durable, more comfortable and easier to charge. ... show more
