  • Love the size
Turns out this is a lot bigger than I thought. It took me a few days to get use to the size of the monitor on my desk. I still have a 27 inch next to it. You don't realize how much more real estate a 34 in has until they are sitting next to each other. The clarity of the picture is great. I have watch a couple movies on it and love the detail. Most of my work is in graphic design and the size has really helped me improve my work process and I am not switching between screens as much. I recommend it for anyone who needs a lot of space without having multiple monitors. ... show more

  • Too Smart, Too Complicated
I hate the fact I speak like this now but ... BACK IN MY DAY, computer monitors were dead simple: There are inputs, there are some basic adjustments and some settings, MAYBE some gaming features like a crosshair, but that's it. You plug it in and BAM... you see the image from your PC. This monitor is not that. It's trying to be smart, but it results in a lot of menus, and weird settings corners you can only get to if you ask an AI for directions. It's identity is conflicted with a TV: even comes with a remote controller. It connects to the internet and has updates. I just want to connect my PC to it. How do I do that? GLAD YOU ASKED: I have to use the remote, press the button that says "123", select the weird icon that looks like "Share" on Android, then select DisplayPort. Ah, but your journey doesn't end here: now it has to IDENTIFY the source! Ok, source identified as "PC", excellent... wait: why am I seeing a weird smart TV UI. Oh, I get it, I have to scroll down and press where it says "PC". THERE WE GO! [ Brightness is good, default color calibrations are trash, some cheap plastic in the back, refresh rate is good if you use DisplayPort (not HDMI), really only worth it if you get it on sale ] ... show more

  • Awesome monitor
This is the greatest monitor I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned at least 9 different gaming monitors at this point. The contrast and clarity is fantastic and it’s a game changer for horror games. Refresh rate is perfect for my needs and there isn’t any blur at all. Setup was easy for me I don’t get the other reviewers grips with the setup process it was pretty cut and dry. I really enjoy the fact that it’s a smart monitor and if you don’t have a gaming console this has the capability to cloud stream Amazon Luna, GeForce, Xbox Cloud Gaming etc so even if you’re buying it for just work or whatever you have the capability to game and there isn’t any input lag. The monitor is big enough for me I sit about 2-3 feet away and see every detail no problem. I got this monitor for $650 on sale and at that price point you really can’t beat it with it being a smart monitor and all. ... show more

  • An amazing looking monitor hamstrung by a bloated interface
I'm really torn about giving this 4 stars, but I want to be honest. The picture on this thing is 5 stars easy, I'd give 10 if I could. It looks great. I've been playing God of War Ragnarök on my PC and the HDR and contrast are mind blowing. The game is immersive due to the ultrawide screen and the colors and images just pop. The monitor itself is also great. I came from a powerful Asus ultrawide that was thick and about 40 pounds. This is so thin, and light compared to my old monitor it was just unbelievable. Samsung really packed in a lot of image quality into this thing. The problem I have with this monitor is all of the "extras" that Samsung packed into it. It is basically a smart TV without a tuner built in. That's great if you need a TV at your desk. But for someone who just wants to use it as a monitor and nothing else, all of those functions and menus just get in the way. Switching inputs should be fast and simple, and yet I basically have to boot into the home menu to do it. What's absolutely infuriating and justifying taking a star off of this review is that they did include a remote, but there is no source button on it. Like, what? You put a Netflix button on there, but not an input switcher? It's clear they want you to log in with your Samsung account and use their apps. But why on earth would I use the YouTube app when I CAN JUST WATCH YOUTUBE ON MY COMPUTER?!? Every app is redundant if you have it plugged into a PC. I guess maybe this is for a college kit that just plugs in a PS5 to it? But even then, the PS5 has all of these apps. You can turn some of the annoying things off, but not everything (I haven't been able to simplify input switching). Now, there are some cool features because it is "smart". You can split the screen to show your computer and the smart interface, two computers, or, if you have a Samsung phone, you can mirror your phone in the corner. If you take advantage of any of that, this is well worth it. But again, if you just want a monitor, it can be cumbersome. Again, the picture is amazing. It's worth the hassle. But I hope an update will make the input switching a one-action affair (even better if they remap the remote). EDIT: Ok, I looked at the remote again and saw a microphone button. I used it, set up Bixby (ugh), and it turns out I could switch inputs by asking Bixby to do it. Still a star off, because I shouldn't have to yell at my remote like a madman to change inputs when button press should do, but it is a "one-action" way to do it. ... show more

  • Hybrid TV-Monitor is Amazing.
It is incredibly good. Although wait till the microled variant makes it. The image is crystal clear, and it's very responsive for gaming purposes, the top brightness is not amazing and it certainly is not designed to be used on a sunny room, which in my case I did know on advance, I bought it for its magic ace up the sleeve. The best feature? I can pick up the remote and lay on my bed, connect to my bluetooth headphones, use netflix, or whatever application I'd expect from a great smart TV, it is an amazing experience to quickly switch between modes. ... show more
