You get what you pay for. Picture quality is basic...definitely not for the discerning eye. Sound? What sound? If you are only concerned with hearing computer beeps through the speakers they are fine however, if you want to hear any audio i.e. music, video stream sound, or even listen to someone on social media this is not the solution. Sounds like everything is in a tin can. Horrible. The only reason I would even think about giving it 2 stars is because of the size 28" wide by 16.5" tall (screen size only) is a perfect size for my trading set up...other than that I'm debating on returning it....Samsung you failed on this one unless its just an outdated version. I purchased the monitor and hooked it up using the printer cable I already had. It looked great. Loved it. I worked with it a couple days before I realized it didn't have any sound. So I checked with support, and they said I need to connect using the HDMI cable (duh). So when I connected, the sound was very very very slight. I called tech support 3 times. One rep told me the monitor I purchased wasn't supposed to have sound. Of course it did. The 3rd rep told me, finally, after troubleshooting, that it only has a 1 watt speaker which should generate 60-75 decibels of sound at a close distance. Bottom line if you are thinking this monitor will give you good sound quality, don't. BTW, there is a toggle button on the back bottom right of the monitor that allows you to find your serial number, and make other adjustments. Press it once, and then press on the top of the button and it will activate the 3 screen monitor at the 12 o clock position and repeat this technique of toggling to explore the settings. The box included a SHORT HDMI cable (not long enough to reach from monitor on my desk to the back of computer on floor). It might be nice for the box to include an instruction manual that mentions the toggle button and to use the HDMI for full functionality. PS. Samsung Management: you should know the first time I called, I was accidentally disconnected and didn't get a call back. The 2nd time I called I spoke to Cheryl and both she and her boss, Amor, confirmed that this monitor had no sound. The 3rd time I called, we had to do a full diagnostic before the agent finally told me the sound was only 1 watt with 60-75 DB. ... show more
