(review for UR55 ... there are a few others in this grouping) TL;DR: Great, affordable choice for extended monitor for MacBook Air (Retina) I upgraded from an HP 25xw (1080p) and this monitor — even at the same resolution — is soooo much more clear/vibrant. I have moved from an older MacBook Air to a newer one with a (M2) Retina screen and I was really starting to tell the difference with the old screen looking "fuzzy". This new UR55 is indistinguishable from my new Retina screen when used as an extended monitor. It took about 20m to get the settings dialed in, but now it's a match from screen-to-screen. The monitor is routed through a hub, fwiw, (Monitor : HDMI > hub > USB-C : MacBook)

A cheap monitor that's 32", 4k, and has two inputs for picture by picture (pbp) capability. I use it for work and home; i do a split screen between a laptop and desktop and the 32" 4k gives me enough real estate for apps. It's really cheaply made though, you need to be aware of that. The frame around the screen was not fully seated and a small section was cracked. There was a small defect in the middle of the screen, like a small bubble on the plastic overlay, but no dead pixels. I had to turn off the ambient lighting detection feature and crank up the brightness to get it to looks good. Again, this is a good review - the screen was cheap and fit my needs, therefore all the stars.

I have an Apple Studio Display but wanted to use it from my Windows/Linux PC. My PC Video cards do not support thunderbolt out (do any?) so I had to use a separate monitor for them. I was excited about this monitor because it was similar to the Apple Studio Display in specs and also supported display port in which would allow me to use it with my PC. The Pros: * Displays seems comparable to the ASD in terms of brightness, contrast and pixel clarity * Display port allows me to easily share it between my PC and Mac (ASD cannot) * Can pivot to portrait mode (ASD cannot) * Cheaper if you want matte finish and height adjustable features (both $ upgrades on ASD) * Can be mounted on stand or with VESA mount (ASD only does one of those at a time and requires Apple to change the hardware costing $$) * Can display a remote screen over the network via AirPlay - this is an awesome feature! Cons: * The included camera does not handle changes in light as well as the ASD Camera. I have to close my blinds when using this camera, not with ASDs camera. Unclear if this can be fixed with a software update or not * The included camera is much wider than the ASD camera - too wide for my liking. * The built in speakers are poor compared to the ASD speakers * My MBP has kernel paniced 3 three times over the past 2 days. I think this is related to the latop going to sleep or being hot unplugged from the monitor. There is a CalDigit TS3 between laptop and monitor so not sure where the issue is, but probably in the monitor. I am hoping they can fix this via a software update in the future * Cannot adjust brightness or volume using apple keyboard. They include a remote to do this, but the experience is not as good as the ASD Conclusion: There is a lot to like about this monitor over the ASD. I am on my mac all day doing conference calls so the cons are very noticeable vs the ASD. I am likely going to return this monitor because of those which is too bad as I really wanted to love this monitor

This is not a computer monitor. It is essentially a TV monitor with some capabilities to use with your laptop. Don't be fooled by the branding as it appears to take a TV monitor and try to resell at a higher price to use with your laptop piggy backing on Apple Studio Display. First, it has no controls! There is a stupid remote (yes!!) that you have to use to get any of the monitor settings to change. It goes to sleep and there is no way to wake it up unless you reboot your laptop! To get anything done you have to register with Samsung and there are about three four different ways to essentially control the basic activity of for having something show up from your laptop. The picture quality is decent and I didn't see dead pixels (read other reviews), but for $1600 that is a bare minimum expectation at this time. I'm trying to see if I can get a minimal laptop monitor experience going on the miniDP connection, otherwise this is going back to Amazon. What a frustrating experience. Wish I could give negative stars!

I needed a 4k UHD monitor for my NVR system. This monitor is perfect at 3840x2160 resolution and 60Hz frame rate. I've tried other monitors but always come back to Samsung. I have all Samsung TVs and monitors in my home now. Some for over 10 years and they just work and last. I use them with Macs and Chromebooks. I was worried about shipping damage but the packaging design is awesome. No issues whatsoever and UPS can be tough on packages. Well worth the money.
