I purchased this luggage set for my daughter as a Christmas gift. She packed up the suitcases to go to the airport and return home. First, the large suitcase handle wouldn’t go down. We tried dozens of times and it wouldn’t budge. She had to completely unpack her things and then we manually were able to press the button on the bar under the cover of the interior of the suitcase. When we tried the handle again, it became stuck again but at least we knew how to manually fix it. My daughter wasn’t happy but decided it was too late to do anything bc she had to make her flight. She was going to contact samsonite when she arrived back home and let them know. Upon arriving home and opening up her carry-on outside pocket, the zipper broke. She called to let me know and I said I’d return the set and get a refund and we’d get her another luggage set. Upon starting the return process I learned, in order to return it, she will have to buy a box big enough, print a label, and lug the set to a UPS store. There’s no guarantee of a full refund bc it explicitly says if it’s not in its original packaging and condition the refund may be reduced. I’m not paying over $300 for a luggage set and then paying to have it packaged up to be sent back only to be told I will get a reduced refund. I am happy with these. The color is a light blue than the pic but that was better i thought. The large is quite large tho (bigger than the standard samsonite) but the medium is a nice mid size. That's held up well on a trip to europe.
