Great for 4-week carry-on only trip
Size: Carry-on Spinner Color: Sage Green
I was planning a 4-week trip to Scotland and needed a case that fit the airline specs, but held as much as possible. I tried out a lot of different carry-ons and decided on this one. The things I looked at were packing volume, weight, handle sturdiness and operation, and extra features. I spent time testing how they maneuvered when packed with a heavy load and had a heavy backpack on top. (The weight can make a real difference as to how easily they roll.) Being expandable was a requirement. This is because you usually wear some of your bulkiest shoes and outerwear, etc., to create more room in the case. Then, once in country, it's possible to expand the luggage to pack those items when traveling town to town. You can also buy some things like toothpaste, hair spray, etc., to use while in country, and then discard before flying home. That can require the carry-on to expand, as well. The carry-on is fairly light weight and has good volume for packing as much as possible. It has a side handle, as well as a top handle. That really helps me lift it up to place on a rack. The placement of the zip divider panel was better than in some of the other bags. Some of the other carry-ons I evaluated had the zip panel sewn in pretty far down below the zipper edge of the case. This really reduced the depth that is available for packing on that side. This case did a better job with that. One thing that was really important to me was the maneuverability when the case was carrying a heavy load. This piece was the best. I can place a heavy backpack on top, and still whip around with ease on hard floors through the airport. I've taken it on trains and through train stations, as well. It's great. On the other reviews, I did note that people said this case showed scratches easily. Because I was going to a wet climate, I also ordered a clear plastic cover for the case. It worked in the rain, and also protected the case. It had to be checked on one occasion and was frequently loaded into the base of a bus. It still looks really good after 4 weeks of travel. One thing that Samsonite could improve on is the direction that the zippered panel opens when unzipped. You have to lay the panel over the other side of the case when it's open. It would be better if it opened to the outside so that the contents of the other side of the case was visible when the the panel is open. All and all, I am very happy with my choice. It worked well for a 4-week carry-on only trip. The color is beautiful, as well. One year later: This is still my favorite carry-on. It holds a lot and handles really well. It's great for US airlines and British Airways. The size is a bit more than allowed on Lufthansa and KLM/AIr France, so I haven't tried using it on their flights in case they are checking. I've seen people boarding with larger bags, though, so it boils down to whether or not you want to risk having it gate checked. When weight is an issue, this bag is about 1/2 to 3/4 lb. more than I would like, but it's not bad. I still haven't found a bag that is that much lighter, that holds as much and that maneuvers as well. ... show more

Excellent Luggage Set with Plenty of Room
Size: 2-Piece Set (Carry-on/Large) Color: Black
The Samsonite Freeform 2-Piece Luggage Set has been a great upgrade for traveling. Both pieces feel lightweight while still having a sturdy, durable construction, and the hard-shell design gives me confidence that my belongings are protected during travel. The spinner wheels roll smoothly and make navigating airports, parking lots, and tight spaces much easier. The telescoping handles operate smoothly as well, and the different sizes give you flexibility depending on whether you’re taking a short trip or packing for a longer one. I also really like the interior organization. There’s plenty of usable packing space, and the design makes it easy to keep everything organized rather than having clothes and belongings shift around inside the suitcase. After using the set, I can see why Samsonite is such a well-known luggage brand. The combination of durability, maneuverability, storage capacity, and overall design makes this a great value for anyone who travels regularly. ... show more

Lightweight, Durable, and Perfect for Travel.
Size: Carry-on Spinner Color: Black
I’ve used several carry-on suitcases over the years, and this one has quickly become one of my favorites. It’s surprisingly lightweight while still feeling sturdy and well made. The spinner wheels glide smoothly through airports, making it easy to maneuver even when fully packed. The hard shell provides good protection, and the interior is thoughtfully designed with compartments and straps that help keep everything organized. It fits plenty of clothing for a short trip while still meeting carry-on size requirements. The telescoping handle feels solid, and the overall quality reflects the Samsonite name. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, stylish, and durable carry-on suitcase. ... show more

Highly Recommend for Travel
Size: 2-Piece Set (Carry-on/Large) Color: Black
Very nice set. The larger one is our standard for 2 and 3 day get aways. It holds so much of our belongings. Seems like we pack 1/2 the house for only a short get away and this thing holds it all. It is so much easier to maneuver even on hotel carpet (not so much on gravel). The outer case looks brand new after quite a bit of banging around. So far the handle and the rollers have held up well and the zippers have not given us any trouble. ... show more

Would buy again
Size: Checked-Large Spinner Color: Black
My husband has been really happy with this suitcase. It’s a great size for longer trips without being overly bulky, and it rolls smoothly through the airport. We’ve flown with it three times so far, and it’s held up well with no issues. While we haven’t owned it long enough to speak to years of durability, our experience so far has been very positive. Overall, it’s a nice piece of luggage, and we’d recommend it. ... show more

Good luggage
Size: 2-Piece Set (Carry-on/Large) Color: Navy
This brand has done me well over the years and recently I’ve decided to replace my old suitcases. The color and design of this suitcase makes the suitcases seem extremely exquisite. The 4 wheel design allows for smooth glide across different surfaces. I will say that the suitcases is easily scratched and leaves a mark, but besides that the suitcase is very well built. ... show more

Easy Travel
Size: Checked-Medium Spinner Color: Amethyst Purple
I purchased the smaller size a year ago and loved it so much I purchased the 24 in size. This luggage has proved light and durable with tons of room. The 360 turn wheels make navigation on all types of terrain easy. I love the deep purple color which makes it easy to spot in a sea of black bags. Highly recommend. ... show more
