I’ve never owned a really nice set of luggage before. I don’t travel too often, but for an upcoming cruise, I wanted to get a nice set with a large suitcase that I could trust for international travel, connecting flights, etc. I did all my research on the best brands of luggage and Samsonite seemed to top every list. Was bummed looking around to find it was way out of my price range. I was going to get a used set just to get a Samsonite set. But then I saw the emerald two piece set for an AMAZING deal (sizes 28/20), I snatched them up right away. Even cheaper than the used sets and cheaper than just the 28” inch one by itself!! I would never buy from a third party, because I’m sure there are a lot of fakes out there. These were sold by Amazon, and in fact they came in an Amazon box but Amazon put the box inside that still had the shipping label where it was shipped to their warehouse by samsonite. I love the color pink, so I really wanted to find a pink set, but this emerald color is absolutely gorgeous!! They wheel very nicely and smoothly. I do feel that the wheels feel a bit cheap, so I’m a smidge worried about that after some of the reviews, but I’ll definitely update this review if we have any issues with them. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase. Note: people were complaining that there were not locks on some of them as described. If you read the descriptions, it says clearly that the carry on sizes do not have locks. So in this set, only the large suitcase does.

I love that the carryon has a pouch to put a charging brick so you can charge your electronics through a USB port on the outside of the suitcase! Great looking at very sturdy and well made! Lots of room!

This carry on is the correct (maximum) size for Icelandic Air. I fit 8 basic outfits plus toiletries (exactly 10kg) and there was a little space to spare. It moves easily with double wheels. The handle is not wobbly. It has managed just fine on European roads and sidewalks. The only negative is that it doesn’t have a handle on the side.

I like the design and appearance. The square-ish corner design maximizes interior space. They are light. Too early for me to comment on reliability. What I will say is that an 18” Samsonite roller case I’ve used for only about 1-2 dozen trips already needs the wheels to be replaced, as this early wear is considered “normal.” The repair shop offering warranty repair is not in a convenient central location, and they couldn’t help as this isn’t considered a defect. So the five year warranty isn’t much of a warranty unless the product arrives defective.

I’ve used all three suitcases since I got them earlier this summer. Used the smallest as a carryon for a small trip. It did great. No complaints! Took the medium size to Michigan with me for a week vacation. Also sturdy and did great. Took the largest size to Europe with me and it was awesome. Really handled bumpy terrain well. The only problem I had was when i got it from baggage claim and they had manhandled it to the point where it caved in on itself and it was really difficult to pry it open. But I finally did. They all store nice together. Lots of space and pockets.

I bought these suitcases a couple years back as my job involves a lot of travel and I wanted something with a good reputation that I wouldn't have to replace in a few months let alone a year or so. I'm happy to report these things have held up, they've been rolled, dragged, dropped, scraped, kicked, everything short of run over and they're still rolling smooth and resilient as ever. I go through many airports through the US, local and international, and the way they treat your bags varies greatly based on time of year, location, staff, all that jazz. These bags still look brand new and hold everything I need for a short or long trip, there's no worry about the zippers coming loose and it jus lt feels very secure when its all zipped up. You won't regret these whether you need to use them every few days or every few years, it's worth the purchase.

I had to replace my luggage set (of 10+ years) from a lesser-known brand and decided to go with Samsonite, thinking a name brand would be better quality. Unfortunately, I have been on just 3 domestic trips since purchasing this set less than 4 months ago, and to say I am underwhelmed and disappointed is an understatement. One of the wheels broke, the shell is cracked, two zippers are broken and it shows every scuff mark that tends to happen with regular travel. My previous luggage set, despite being from a not-so-famous brand, was much better quality and lasted a decade without such issues. I am shocked at how quickly this Samsonite set has deteriorated. I will be looking into return/warranty information as luggage should be something that lasts for many years, not just a few months. Very disappointed with this purchase.
