I bought these suitcases a couple years back as my job involves a lot of travel and I wanted something with a good reputation that I wouldn't have to replace in a few months let alone a year or so. I'm happy to report these things have held up, they've been rolled, dragged, dropped, scraped, kicked, everything short of run over and they're still rolling smooth and resilient as ever. I go through many airports through the US, local and international, and the way they treat your bags varies greatly based on time of year, location, staff, all that jazz. These bags still look brand new and hold everything I need for a short or long trip, there's no worry about the zippers coming loose and it jus lt feels very secure when its all zipped up. Just got off a 7 day cruise to Alaska, and decided I needed a suitcase upgrade, as my old 2 wheel duffel would barely close on the contents, returning. The Samsonite arrived intact, big and beautiful, just as pictured. The wheels, locks, extendable handle and zippers all work smoothly, so am good to go. I've read the surface scratches, which is disappointing, but a hard case that doesn't simply does not exist, I think, as the reviews on all the other models noted they did, as well, so just have to live with it, I guess. As long as it remains in one piece, and contains the contents, with working wheels and zippers, I'll be satisfied. The lock system seems a little fragile, just being the zipper tips inserted into holes, with a latching bar running thru it. However, it's not a concern for me, as my duffel had no lock, and I never pack anything other than clothes, toiletries and a book or two, so not a prime target for potential thievery, I think. Overall, I really like it, at this point. I'm hopefully traveling to Kenya in February, and will return to edit this review when I return. ... show more

This is a good set of luggage. We actually returned this set and got a different size combo of the same set. That was our mistake - didn't notice we had clicked the larger checked bag size. If that is what you want, go for it. Personally, I think this size checked bag is too large to be practical. It would also be really easy to go over the weight limit. My daughter has taken the set (again, same line) on 4 flights and both pieces have held up well. Roll well and it's nice to have luggage that isn't black so it stands out a bit with this nice blue. ... show more

I ordered these bags after attempting the Omni PC 28 inch. The Omni was much too large for the international flights we have planned and had to be returned. The Centric in the medium size seems to be a good size to avoid oversized baggage fees, is quite lovely in the green, has the ability to expand, seems quite sturdy, and the dual wheels allow it to move smoothly. It’s a perfect fit for my husband, son, and daughter. I might have asked for just a bit more space, but overall, I’m very pleased with these bags. I should note that one of my favorite aspects is that the color will be easier to locate in airports than our previous black bags as well. ... show more

Definitely not the usual Samsonite quality. It came with a cheap cardboard box and I immediately noticed the unusual large size after unboxed. The largest one is definitely not 28" size. It looks more like 30". It's 1.5" taller than the 28" size Samsonite set I bought from Costco. The product description is definitely wrong. The most concern I have is that the top panel deformed really bad when lifting up with just two smaller empty luggages inside. Can't image how it could possibly handle the full weight. These problems were reported in the 1 star reviews.. should have listened to the real reviewers. Received today and it will be going back today. ... show more
