Only two major airlines, at the time of this review, allow more than 22” for the carryon size. We were in need of replacement luggage due to ours being damaged by over zealous baggage handlers. First my husbands, then mine. So when this Samsonite luggage went on sale on Black Friday, we jumped at the chance to purchase on sale. We are very happy with our purchase. This is a two piece set, with the larger bag and carry on. It is well made, and roomy, with extra pockets for storage. The suitcase itself is good, seems sturdy, nice color, no major issues with it so far. Problems: 1) I bought the set of two and only received one. 2) The carry-on is not actually carry-on sized since, with the wheels included, it winds up being 23" tall. The US domestic limit is 22". I will probably risk the extra fees because 1" is not *that* much, but it's still annoying, especially considering the point of buying a carry-on is so I can bring it on board stress-free. ... show more

I replaced my old Samsonite, that was always getting the zippers ripped off with a new Samsonite. Just returned from my 4th trip with it and both of the zippers holding my clothes in were gone. On the first one I kept blaming the Airlines. Now I know it's the suitcase. Never again will I buy another Samsonite. ... show more
