These boots are really nice, but husband did not like them. They hurt his feet too much and not enough cushion for his needs. I have the same pair for women and love them so it's according to preference. They have a good toe box so gives your toes plenty of room.

I have worn them for a number miles now and though they are soft, provide enough ankle support and fit well, I wish the sole was a little more supportive. I did feel like my heel was a little sore on both feet after wearing for over 8 hours straight. I felt I had to take the shoes off to breath and relax a little bit. A bit more cushion would help for long days on the your feet.

I bought these boots for an expedition in Costa Rica. They hiked up the country's highest mountain, Cerro Chirripó (3820 m), twice and the comfort and protection they offered were sublime. An excellent product.

In spite of multiple sock layers, the material transition around the ankle still produced a painful abrasion after only a couple miles of hiking. Disappointing. Update: June 2023. Stuck with them through the break-in period, laced securely and with thick socks. Put them through a harsh test in the Scottish Highlands, and they have proven to be very comfortable and durable.

Only issue I had was the green color of the boot is a lot different than the picture. A brighter green, but nothing dirt and mud can’t fix.
