I got these for my 7-year old so he can have the same kind of Salomons I've been wearing for many many years. Although these are kids, they're the same quality as the adult version. He loves the quicklace system, but i made sure he also has a pair of tie-lace shoes so he doesn't regress and forget how to tie his laces. Salomon has an excellent tread design making it stable on ice as well as dirt. I've been searching for another pair of speedcross for a couple months. It seems they aren't available...anywhere. Then I converted my adult womens shoe size into big kids. Amazon had 1 pair left at a fraction of the cost. I am thrilled that they fit and are as comfortable as my original pair. ... show more

Salomon’s are the best we’ve found for hikes. Hard to find this shoe size for boys. Had to order from Amazon. The shoe fits well. The grip is great for my teen. He enjoys parkour and back county hikes. We use these for the beach as well. They hold their grip while climbing on slippery rocks at the beach and in the mountains. This is the fourth pair of Solomon shoes that we have had. Very durable. My son is extremely active and hard on shoes and these do the job until he grows out of them.
