I ordered these for my son and his girlfriend for their new house. She made a wall that was very busy, full of picture collages, plants, mirrors, and more! She wanted to add a few shelves at the top so she could put artificial plants on them that hung down. I thought these would be perfect because the brackets are black, like her wall, and would blend right in. It turned out really cool, they look like they are floating, and the assembly took her less than 5 minutes a piece. They ended up not using the drywall anchors that it came with, due to wanting more security if they placed heavy books or other decorations on top. They have had them up for a few months now and they still look wonderful!

These little shelves are have a nice appearance and came complete with brackets, screws and anchors. Installation was smooth enough and without any problems. I don’t know if it is a new trend to describe shelves, with inverted (basically upside down) brackets, as floating. As far back as I can remember, floating shelves were those without visible brackets or anchors; something that just looks like it is sticking out of the wall, not hung from or sitting on a set of brackets. My other concern with the product information is the claim of these shelves being 40lbs weight bearing. I cannot say for sure whether they can or cannot hold up to 40lbs; I did not weigh the items placed on the shelves. However, considering the length and depth of the shelves; I am hesitant to test the shelves (as they are hanging on my wall) at max weight. It seems very wise to be sure the screws are set securely into studs and then place the greatest mass of weight in line with the brackets, if you intend to put the maximum lbs on them. The brackets are very sturdy, it is the shelf strength and integrity under so much weight, that I question.

Assembling these shelves proved to be easy, requiring minimal effort. The instructions were clear, and the overall assembly process was quite fast. However, the included "level" accessory was far from practical, resembling a rounded oval tube that constantly rolled off during attempts to level the shelf. Ultimately, I ended up using my own "level" tool. Included screwdriver served its purpose well for securing the short screws to the shelf bottoms and the long mount shelf to the wall. These shelves fit well into my room. The light color and simple design can be easily matched with different home décor styles. The lightweight nature of the wood allows to use of the provided manual screwdriver. The metal brackets, notably sturdy and resistant to bending, added to the overall durability of the shelving unit. In summary, the assembly process is easy and fast. Material can appear cheap at first but looks good and serves its purpose.

Quite easy to put together, very self explanatory. Went up very easy. The included "level" is a joke. It's an rounded oval tube that will not stay in place when you are trying to level out the shelf, it just rolls off onto the floor uselessly. I ended up eyeballing it and getting it perfectly level. The included screwdriver is good for getting the short screws into the bottom of the shelves to secure them to the brackets. However, I used my electric screwdriver to screw on the longer screws to mount these to the wall. I have several different sets of shelves in my room. These may be one of my favorites. I LOVE the color and the design very much. They could hold a little more, I have three Pop Figures in box on one, two on the other, don't know what to do with the extra space on that second shelf. Suppose I will just fill it with another Pop Figure in the future. I have some now, but they already have their particular spots. Now, back to the shelves. The wood is very light, which made using that included manual screwdriver even easier, but with it's size and what most people are probably going to display on the shelves (lightweight objects like what I have on them), it's perfectly suited to the task. The metal brackets seemed very strong, no way I could bend them at least. Overall I'm very satisfied with them. Kind of wish it was a 4 pack, I would have replaced another set I have with these. I may just do that on the future, as I like the look of these better.

I got these because I needed a couple of small shelves to go over my desk. My cats like to jump up there and make a mess of things, so I decided to take action. We got these shelves to give them a place to go with the hope they would choose them over my desk. They worked! They prefer the higher spaces and these are sturdy and wide enough to accommodate them well. They are also really easy to install, so that was an added bonus! I did end up using a heavier duty drywall anchor for the screws due to the added weight of the cats, but it may not be necessary depending upon your intentions for these shelves. They also make great bookshelves or a place to keel trinkets or picture frames. I am happy with these simple shelves. They look great and they saved my desk. I would recommend the to others.

Though I've only currently installed one of these so far, (waiting on a 69 inch ARGB floor lamp to arrive at the end of the month that I want to square it and this shelf up with the top of a widow) it only took me like 10 minutes to install. And that was me dilly dallying. I like that these come with a little bubble level which is perfect if you don't have one. But I do and this one is just the round bubble housing so it rolls so I just used mine instead. The shelf itself is lightweight. The L brackets are decently robust. I mean I certainly wouldn't try to hang off it but it should hold just about anything that's small enough to fit on it. The supplied drywall anchors are good enough. They're the split apart kind rather than the ones that just expand so they should hold better than the expanding kind. Not much more to say here, I can't think of any faults. These shelves get the job done of giving you a place to display things. lol It's hardly rocket science. But if it was I'd say these reached orbit for me just fine.
