The box was much smaller than I had anticipated, but it was packed FULL of a variety of goodies to try. I gave this as a Christmas gift to a co-worker who likes to try different snacks and he shared it with the whole office. Smaller portions, but still plenty enough to share. Came with a guide booklet that had pictures and explained the different flavors/textures of each snack. (99% of packaging is written in Japanese). So if you wanted savory or chocolate you’d know what to try. The matcha kit-kat was my favorite! It was a lot of fun trying new flavors and textured treats. My son and I had a lot of fun trying these Japanese snacks. There was a large variety of snacks and they were all delicious. It’s kinda hard to figure out what to buy some people for Christmas. I really enjoy this snack box—it’s not just a tasty treat, but a mini “adventure” each time I open it. The variety is exciting, and the included pamphlet with explanations about each treat adds a delightful, educational touch . What stands out for me is how fun it is to open each package and try something new. But, as someone not very familiar with many of the snacks, I’ll admit I hesitate if I don’t know what it is—even with the instructions on hand. I bought this for my sons birthday. He loves all things Japanese. He was super excited to try different snacks from the Japanese culture. The snacks were fresh which is the most important. They were also delicious. It was fun to look at the packaging and try to guess what items were. It also comes with a book that tells you what each item is and what the ingredients are. I have purchased this twice now and it is so fun! Very well packaged, everything is intact and fresh (as fresh as processed food can be!) I’m part Japanese and a lot of this reminds me of the treats I used to get at the Japanese market as a kid. :)

My husband and I wanted to try some new and interesting treats. We sometime overlap on preferences but are pretty different in our priorities, especially with candies. He loves gummies and fruity things. I like chocolate and cookies and such. We both found things we really enjoyed in this box! Our favorites were a teriyaki burger umaibo (corn puff stick), baby star ramen, and Tohato caramel corn puffs. We had so much fun trying different things and laughing at our reactions to some. I got this as a gift for my partner who had spent a few months in Japan, and he loved it. He got to have a lot of his favorites as well as try new things. The variety was awesome, I do wish there were a couple of duplicates though as we were trying to share them lol. Great quality though, very delicious, and everything was fresh.
