My 12 year old daughter loves 2 things. Skateboarding and Barbie Dolls. While shopping for a new one for her birthday ; this choice was a no brainer. It's a good sized board for her size and height; with room to grow into it. Simplistic Design with beginners in mind. And has great balance. This skateboard is really strong, substantial, and provides a lot of support. My daughter can better hold the board with her feet because the top layer is rather rough. She can handle the skateboard thanks to the firm grip. The wheels ride quite smoothly and are resistant to wear and tear.
