  • Great way to add speakers to a M1 MacBook Air
I am using this amp to connect some desktop speakers to my M1 MacBook Air. It works well, and I am pretty happy with it. Occasionally, it will "disconnect" from the Macbook's Bluetooth, and I don't know why. When that happens, I have to pull the power plug out of the back for a few seconds and then re-plug it in. Then it will "re-pair" with the MacBook. ... show more

  • Works 9/10 times
The power switch doesn't always function, takes a few flips to get a response from it. Otherwise, it happily powers my tower speakers (tweeter/mid/8" woofer) with ease making plenty loud music inside a two car garage.

  • Great amp.....But !!
I really liked this amp given the price point. It has plenty of power and then some. It has a very small form factor and easy adjustments especially the Bass and Treble which is a must for me. My ONLY issue is that it is extremely light and when you connect all your devices especially banana plugs which you really need as the plain wire method is extremely tight the device tips over. So what I did was to remove the rubber feet and attach a piece of 2 way mounting tape to a black acrylic 5 inch base and the problem was solved. The base I bought on Amazon some time ago and it raises the unit 3/4 of an inch allowing for you fingers to easily get underneath the front knobs to make adjustments. I ran this baby a full tilt to my Micca Covo S speakers and they sounded wonderful. I decreased the Bass substantially and increased the Treble just a little bit. I might add that there was NO distortion whatsoever at full power. The class D amp runs very cool to the touch as well. This little guy gets very high marks from me and I don't think you will be disappointed if you purchase this unit. ... show more

  • It's a small, cheap bluetooth amp that is effective
I use this by my bedside to listen to podcasts and music while reading or going to sleep. This was a good solution to the problem of wanting to listen to my iPad while also reading, as I prefer wired earbuds and you can't comfortably plug one into the iPad for use in portrait orientation. And it works well! There are some problems though, and I can appreciate that most of these issues are related to keeping costs down. The LED light is very bright and bleeds through a lot of the sides of the various inputs and knobs. Since I was using this in part to help sleep, I had to get rid of this LED. I essentially just opened up the box took some pliers to the LED to get it to stop working. It's not necessary at all, but I'm not sure I'd recommend doing this since you obviously run some risk of breaking the amp. The volume has a relatively low ceiling in general, and it doesn't run large headphones well. For earbuds though this works perfectly well. It could certainly use more power going to the headphones, but what exists is serviceable. The sound quality is okay as well, but I wouldn't use this for serious music listening. If you have similar needs as me, this will suit your needs inexpensively. ... show more

  • Liked it enough I bought a second.
My first one I'm using with some old Minimus 7 speakers hooked to my computer. Sounds better that most computer speakers that I have ever owned. My second I bought for my daughter. She bought a turn table that has a Line out on the back, (turntable has an internal Pre-Amp). Hooked up a set of 90's vintage JBL book shelf speakers and love the sound. Power switch down she can play line in from the turntable. Switch up, connects Bluetooth to her phone to play her music service. Nice aluminum case, Volume control is nice and smooth. Bass & Treble controls smooth with a nice center detent. For the price I like the quality. The power switch is my only question. It feels ok, but I might try to replace it with a better quality switch later, if it breaks. ... show more

  • Quality Receiver/Amplifier with Versatility for Setups
I paired this amplifier to power 80W to the Sony SSCS5. As an entertainment stereo receiver, I connect my tv through rca for media and connect my phone through bluetooth for music. (I don't have a sub to test, but there's an additional line out for a powered subwoofer: no cable included. Could potentially be a 2.1 stereo setup) The rca cables included are nice and servicable and I had no issues receiving sound from an hdmi connection. The bluetooth connection is stable and strong, and there isn't a concerning drop in quality of sound when switching between bluetooth and rca. 80 Watts of speaker amplification is plenty loud for my use case and doesn't detract sound quality across the range. Turning up the bass and treble knobs adds a nice shelf boost that won't smear the mids and it doesn't bloat the bass or shrill the highes in regulation, but provides plenty of additional volume if boosted to the 10db max. (it supplements the lack of bass from the Sony Speakers well) As a desktop amp, the inclusion of a headphone jack (with an included a 1/4" to 3.5mm jack) is what sets this apart from other amplifiers of similar price range. Connecting the headphones will mute the speakers. For headphones, while it amplifies the source, I did notice that it does have a noticable change in the sound signature, affecting my EQ settings that I've already had in place. However, it is convienent enough to consistently use it when on my desk. Overall, this functions great as an entertainment stereo receiver or desktop amp and the price to performance is strong. TLDR: Satisfied with quality and price. Good for home entertainment and desktops. Recommended strongly. ... show more

  • Great sounding amp
This sounded great for a small footprint amp. I owned a high end recording studio for years, so I'm used to hearing things a certain way. Didn't expect this amp to sound as good as it does. I bought it just to use with some mid level speakers for my TV. I ended up returning it because the power switch kept sticking. I ended up exchanging it for a different brand that looks almost identical and cost twice as much, but the new amp sounds terrible in comparison. I should have just exchanged it for the same amp. The Saiyin sounded way better. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. ... show more
