  • Great!
Update: ok, I stand corrected on my comment about these shoes non-slip capabilities! They are doing pretty well on wet-ish terrain so now I feel more comfortable to try them on actually wet terrain. So far, I'm truly loving these shoes! I have been recovering from issues with my feet/legs for years now. Along the way I've learned about the importance of toe spacers, calf stretches, flexible arch support, and wide toe shoes. Problem is, it's hard to find wide toe shoes that aren't "zero drop" and "minimalist". (The only pair I did find was too rigid to work for my needs.) The zero drop and minimalist thing isn't necessarily bad if it will work for your goals/needs. These shoes seem to have been particular helpful for me. I've only had them for a few weeks but there does appear to be some noticeable difference in which muscles I activate during my physical activities (i.e., walking, running, lunges, etc.). All in all, I'm super excited! These were the first pair of shoes I've ever stood up in that felt like heaven for my feet right from the get. I plan to monitor the quality throughout duration of use and will update if it doesn't meet my expectations. I do plan on ordering more pairs though... Oh, FYI - at first they were pretty snug. I was afraid I should have sized up but after a few times of walking the dogs they seem to have loosened. I imagine if you want true barefoot feel they should be pretty snug at first. If you don't like that idea, definitely size up at least a half a size. Also, I wouldn't necessarily say they are "non-slip"... I don't really trust these shoes for that. ... show more

  • Wide enough for barefoot folks
My feet have spread a bit since going barefoot for the past 4 years and I haven't been able to find minimal shoes that are wide enough until these. The women's version of these seem a bit more narrow. These are great when I have to wear shoes though I can do without the very slight arch support. Thankfully the inserts are removable! ... show more

  • This is my 2nd pair
I love these shoes. They are true to size. I wear them to walk and for Zumba class.

  • Comfortable and stylish
I get compliments. It’s well designed, fits well and great for walking. Five toe shoes that don’t make my feet look huge because of the styling. Will probably purchase a second pair, and wear these out.

  • Better than others!
Havent had these more than a few hours around the house, but for $20 I will keep! These are so much more comfy than some other brand of Barefoot shoes found here on Amazon. They do actually breathe. I’m not sure I love the elastic string on mine but it’s nothing major. So far, my only concern is a lil bit of rubbing on my heel but I really do feel with just a smidge of wearing I will break it in and be fine. Again, for $20 I’ll risk it! The last brand I tried were soooo hot on my feet. I am thankful for the breathable material these are made of. I can see a little bit of glue where the rubber meets the fabric but it doesn’t bother me in the looks dept. I think most barefoot shoes aren’t very attractive, lol. But they are hecka comfy for me and totally worth it. I am impressed by these for the price! Will try to remember to come update in a few months. Hope to wear these on a lot of long walks and hikes this summer! ... show more

  • Highly recommend

I literally ran into a marine biologist working on a cruise line with these on. Say no more this brand is now my new jam. They’re brand new so they’re still perfect. I offered a full size smaller bc of reviews and they were too small. Ordered my true size and all is well.

  • Similar to water shoes
I can't speak in great detail as I've only tried these on inside my home to see how they fit. I'm trying out barefoot shoes. I am comfortable walking barefoot at home, on the street I normally wear athletic shoes or boots that have a rigid sole. I have a pair of water shoes that I used to experiment with walking around outside, and they were ok. They weren't very durable, so I thought I'd try these instead. What I really liked about these was that finally I found a shoe that didn't squish my toes. I have a hard time because my toes are wide and my heels are narrow. Normal width shoes aren't wide enough and my feet slip around in wide shoes. The heel of one foot was in a weird place for me so when I stepped down I wasn't quite on the sole. I was off center. That doesn't normally happen so I'm not sure why. One shoe felt fine, the other felt very uncomfortable. There's no way to tighten or adjust the shoe to change the fit. They're slip ones, like water shoes or slippers. The upper of these shoes is loose, and the sole is fitted shape. It's kinda triangular, wide forefoot, narrow heel, which is generally the shape of my foot and what I'm looking for. The upper doesn't guide or align your foot to match the sole. The sole has a specific shape so you don't really have any leeway if your foot doesn't line up with it perfectly. I'm not sure if it would be more beneficial to have the upper and sole match up, have both to be fitted or both to be loose to work well together. I've tried vibram five fingers in the past and they fit more like a glove, so the sole lined up well with my foot, these were much looser. I do like the idea of being able to wear normal socks in my shoes though. The back of the heel seems to angle forward, but that could be how they were packaged, they're pushed flat in a fancier version of a ziplock bag. I think that's less wasteful than a box and also like that it's reusable, as some shoes come shrink wrapped in plastic and that's just a waste. I found myself heel striking in these shoes (I may heel strike or mid strike), and with the sole having grooves and my heel landing a bit off center, it was uncomfortable. It felt wrong and I could also feel the groves through the sole. I think this would cause a hotspot or heel pain if I tried walking in them outside or for distances. There's no way to tighten the shoe or adjust this. I didn't notice this with my other foot, so maybe if your heel lands in the correct spot it's ok. Having a treaded sole would be good for traction, but if it's digging into your heel it wouldn't be very comfortable. With thin, flexible soles you would definitely feel it more. They look really cool and I think they could work very well for some. ... show more
