These are pretty baking dishes, not pure white but a slightly off white/beige background color. They are super heavy! The 9 x 13 alone weighs over 6 pounds! Then if you add a full recipe of something like lasagna imagine needing two strong men to get it into and out of the oven! I didn't use them, sent them back, so no review on cleaning or such, but just understand how heavy they are!

When I was a child growing up in the 1960s and early 1970s, part of the joy when going to parties or potlucks went beyond the delicious foods to just admiring the different casserole dishes themselves. They were all different back then, quite often cherished baking dishes passed down from mother to daughter, or grandmother to granddaughter, or aunt to a favorite cousin, niece, or just an old friend. Even as a little kid I really loved looking at the long tables with beautiful unique baking dishes, so pleasing to the eye, the wonder of seeing treasured favorite dishes that really meant something personal to someone else in the room, and the joy of seeing something with designs or shapes that I had never seen before. But nowadays… just about everybody shows up to a party or potluck with identical plain metal or glass baking dishes. It’s very sad, now that I think about it. Anyway: these matching casserole dishes in three different sizes brought these memories back to me. They are heavy ceramic dishes that could easily fit together in even a smaller oven, and they are indeed beautiful. I got them to give to my best friend, who’s own mother grew up hauling buckets of water up from a creek for washing dishes and watering plants. I recently missed my best friend’s birthday; it was my bad, yet I have a feeling that she’ll take one look at these unique casserole dishes and hopefully forgive me for my sin of missing her birthday this year. I think she will know what these mean: they are very pretty, will be extremely useful on a daily or at least weekly basis, and… just special.

These are cute ceramic casserole dishes. I ordered the “Blue,” and the design looks hand-painted. It is a true blue, and it has a pretty, vintage or retro feel. The three sizes are great for a lot of applications -- I like that I can use the smaller one for smaller casseroles and dishes when I’m just cooking for my husband and myself, and the larger one is great for coffee cake or larger lasagnas. If I had a complaint, it is that the top temperature is only 400 degrees fahrenheit -- that’s pretty low for a casserole dish (this is listed in the product details, but it’s worth the reminder that you definitely can’t use this under the broiler or for higher heat dishes). That said, for cakes or casseroles that cook low and slow, these are excellent dishes that allow you to bake and serve in the same dish.

Love the color and the print on the inside of each dish but even more, I've used 2 of the 3 to bake Broccoli Casserole, Lasagna, homemade dressing/stuffing, among many other dishes and all of them turned out great! Even heat distribution and the best part? They weren't a nightmare to clean! Would definitely recommend this set to add to your existing bakeware :)

This is such a lovely set, I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. Nothing like having some real ceramic casserole pans, my grandma always told me they cook some of the best tasting foods. Granted I have plenty of metal ones but figured I would give her theory a try. Not only do they have a lovely design to them but they really do work well. I always grease every pan this was no exception. Not only does things bake better in this like cheeses even seem to melt better but my grandma was right, the food does taste better in ceramic. At first I thought was a bit high in price until I talked to my grandma who spent nearly $120 on her a set similar to these and I felt blessed that the prices for this was no where near as bad. Which is good because I plan to get more of these for my mom as well. I do recommend them and think they make a excellent gift and they even clean up very nicely.

These casserole dishes are simple in design, made of ceramic, pretty sturdy.. Since these are made of ceramic , it’s much more safer to bake in them unlike the nonstick dishes.. They can also used as bake and serve… I have made tomato pasta sauce in them, and they are nonstick.. It was very easy to clean afterwards.. The only thing I found negative was the bigger pan had few spots on them where there was not enough paint as you can see in the picture which makes the pan look unfinished..Other than that the dishes are wonderful…
