  • LOVE LOVE LOVE
Super easy to set up, I love that I can lower it to the ground for my 1 year old to take a nap in when we are traveling and my infant isn’t using. Doesn’t take up much space so super ideal for traveling.

  • Great design but needs sheets/additional cover
Pros: -Easy to convert to a play yard but it has to be intentional (full unzip of the bottom plus undoing a Velcro cover and clip before you can unzip). It won’t accidentally drop on your kiddo. -Has the ability to either have rocking legs or flip-down stationary tabs -Easy to assemble -Mattress is one piece and lays flat (unlike the pack and play which has lumps from the fold sections) Cons: -Only one mattress cover and it has to be hand washed. Doesn’t appear to be sold separately or have third party sheets available (though I only did a quick search to try to find them) -Not easy to take down and store. It requires a screwdriver or small tool to depress tabs to take it apart. Even though it lays flat, it probably won’t be something you want take with you on a trip. I’d recommend a pack and play or similar for that. Neither pro nor con: -“Mattress” is a piece of plywood with a foam pad. It is not foldable though so it doesn’t have gaps when laid out like the classic “pack and play” does -Cheap music/light/vibration module with buttons that seem to stick. Seems on par with most other bassinets I’ve tried though. Overall: This is a very good bassinet for the price. It lacks some features of more expensive bassinets, like a swivel-over-the-bed or a drop-down-side feature, but it is well constructed and will serve very well as a primary bassinet. I really liked the rocking-stationary ability and conversion to a play yard is an added bonus. It definitely lags behind the traditional pack and play if you’re looking for a more portable/travel bassinet. The mattress cover issue is the only thing that loses it a star. The amount of sheets we went through with our other bassinet was high due to blowouts or spit up. I did try some third party pack and play sheets (the kind with the elastic band on the edges) and they were too big but were passable as a sheet over the cover. It’s not a great solution but it’s a workaround that might work for some. ... show more

  • Perfect bassinet! Failed noise machine attachment.
It's a perfectly sized bassinet. It's comfortable for the babies. It's a safe place for them to sleep. It can fit two babies side by side if you have twins that insist on sleeping together with space far above their heads to store extra pacifiers. It doesn't rock sideways like it looks in the picture, but the legs are connected at the top of the sides so it rocks forward and backward really well. Perfect for putting a fussy baby to sleep. It's totally stable and a safe place for babies to be. I haven't tried lowering it to be a playpen. The noise machine that it comes with is annoying and gives me a headache (it doesn't do white noise, it does either very electronic sounding songs or animal noises), so I would plan to buy a white noise machine separately. It also only vibrated once before it broke and won't vibrate anymore, which is a pity. So if you're buying this bassinet because it comes with the attached noise machine and vibrator, don't. But if you just want a great bassinet, this is perfect! ... show more

  • Made well, sleek design, sturdy
The "Safety 1st Slumber-and-Play Bassinet, Easily Converts from Bassinet to Play Yard" has a sleek design in my opinion. I feel that it appears and feels like it is a higher quality than others that I have had. I love that it comes with a mat that is easy to wipe off and sanitize when needed, and that it is versatile, as it can be used for a regular bedside bassinet, a cradle, and even a mini-playpen! I have received many compliments and questions about where I got this bassinet from, as it truly is a little better quality than others I have seen. It was not too difficult to assemble, and is easy to move around, or change functions as needed. It has earned the five stars I gave it. If I do end up having any issues with this item, I will come back and update my review to reflect this. Thank You! ... show more

  • The rocking function sets it apart from others I've used
I ordered this to try out with my 5 month old as she has started to not like her other bassinet so much - I thought the rocking feature could help soothe her and help increase her tolerance for sleeping in the bassinet. It wasn't too difficult to assemble and I was able to complete it all on my own, which was a big plus. It's fairly roomy and still allows her enough room to roll over for tummy time. She did end up liking the rocking so I would say it helped her adjust better. I really didn't want to bed share for safety reasons so I was glad this worked out. I'm not sure how many more months until she outgrows it and I'll need a true crib, but for now she's enjoying it. Hoping by then she'll be better equipped with sleeping solo. It's a sturdy sleeper thus far and has held up well thus far! ... show more

  • Not safe as a bassinet (edited review after use)
Edit: after using this as a bassinet I noticed that my son keeps rolling to the left side even with the stabilizers up. I don’t believe this bassinet is safe for sleep because the infant can easily roll on to their face and suffocate. I’m giving it 2 stars because it would work fine as a playard. Our living room is not very large but we needed a bassinet to be able to keep the baby with us and this was perfect. The height is perfect for me but I’m on the shorter side. The side mesh panels help see the baby when walking away. The rocking ability put my baby right to sleep and the little noise and vibration machine helped soothe him. I wish the noise machine had white noise as well. It only has lullabies. The fabric on the mat is so soft. Overall it’s excellent. ... show more
