Several parts in my Nexgrill 720-0888N rusted away last winter, so I was excited to find this replacement parts kit that claimed compatibility. The good: almost all the parts in this kit are exact fits size-wise for the original OEM parts they are replacing (the exception being the cooking grates which are 1/4” narrower, but the difference isn’t even noticeable once installed). The cast iron cooking grates are thick and seem well constructed. The burner tubes fit well, and also seem well constructed. The not-so-good: although the kit comes with new screws for attaching the ignitors to the burner tubes, it does not come with new cotter pins for securing the burners to the grill body. Unfortunate, my cotter pins were rusted away just as badly as the old burner tubes were, and broke when I removed them to swap the new tubes in for the old. The bad: the quality of the enamel coating on the heat shields is not good. There are uncovered areas / chips on practically every one of the plates. The wavy pattern of light in the second photo shows the inconsistency in the thickness of the coating throughout the shield.

This BBQ Repair Set for a Nexgrill was a GREAT upgrade for my grill. All parts were an exact fit for my BBQ grill. I replaced grill grates that had rusted apart with new high quality stainless steel grates - a HUGE improvement!!! This set also replaced the heat shields - and my old ones were in really bad shape. I included pictures of my old grill parts to allow you to compare them against the new repair set. All of the parts included in this repair set were easy to install — remove the old and replace with the new!! I would definitely recommend this set if you are looking to replace only the grill grates and the heat shields. This set does not include the burners or the igniter components.

My current grill has 3 grates on it and they are getting rusted through. Needing to replace them, I really wanted just two for ease of use. I measure all 3 and the area they go in and found these. These fit perfectly in the spot where three used to go. They are heavy, good and solid cast iron grates. I washed them well first and seasoned them just like I do my cast iron skillet before putting them on the grill and using them. They fit just like a glove! This package does come with several flame shields and replacement burners that I haven't tried to see if they fit yet, as all I needed were the grates. Easy to install, function just as good if not better than my original grates, and appear to be even better quality. If these fit your grill, you can't go wrong with them.
