Overall quality good for the price. The baskets however are terribly made and do not slide well at all! I haven't decided to keep this item just yet due to the baskets. I may try to look elsewhere to buy different baskets since the stand itself is nice. Came already assembled.

I was pleasantly surprised by this piece. We needed a small nightstand and this was just the right size. Wood is of decent quality and paint (vintage white) was so pretty. We ended up sanding and painting it to match another dresser we have but it was a beautiful color to begin with. The two baskets fit perfectly inside, although I will say the baskets could be a little nicer quality. Had to cut some pieces off that were fraying or sticking out. It arrived earlier than stated! I’m impressed at how well it was packaged. I was worried that the baskets might have an odor based on reading other reviews, but they just had the typical woven basket odor. I spritzed with vinegar and placed in the sun for the day and oder gone. The construction quality was fine. Absolutely no complaints, I inspected it very thoroughly. I thought I had found the perfect nightstands to complete my small bedroom area. Perfect look, but of the box they had a really strong smell. I put them outside to air and there was just no change. I believe the smell is formaldehyde and I didn't feel comfortable sleeping with that source right next to my head at night, so I returned them. They came packed very well, very quickly, and in good condition. No assembly. I'm SO disappointed that I had to return them. ... show more

The small table fits perfectly in a tight spot and looks great, however, the baskets and drawer do not slide out smoothly. The wood is not sanded on the glide rails. I tried ribbing a bar of soap on the wood and it has helped a little.
