We are so glad we did. It is perfect! The cream color is basically an off-white color. The distress marks on the stool where a bit over done in the picture, but gave it a try anyway. This is a handsome piece. Be aware that it is much darker and greener than the image on Amazon, more of a teal than the light blue pictured. That is not a problem for me, but it might be for you depending on your taste.

I purchased the cream color as I really liked the antique look as dipicted in the picture. But as you can see from the picture I took of the actual piece I received, there is little to no distressing to give it the antiqued look advertised. Hence the minus one star rating.
