I have an older Vostro 7590 with a 9th gen Intel CPU. I was concerned that the Thunderbolt 3 port, which I believe is only HBR2, would not have enough bandwidth to drive two 4K displays at their full refresh rate. Despite my concerns this adapter worked prefectly - though I did have to manually set the refresh rate in the Windows' control panel to the full 60Hz. Well worth the money, and setup was fairly straight-forward. The connection was initially a little flakey, but thankfully Sabrent has thought of that! There is an included rubber piece which converts the USB-C connector to a screw-on style connector. With this piece installed I have had no issues w/ picture quality, refresh rate, display blackouts, etc. One thing to note is that the enclosure seems to be metal, and it does get quite hot during operation, especially when pushing it to the limits by driving multiple 4K displays. I would suggest using this in an application where you are able to ensure the adapter gets plenty of airflow.

Has been running strong for almost 2 years now. I use with my laptop running 4k@60hz and this thing ripping cooks... Otherwise works great unless it gets put in a location where it doesn't get enough ventilation. Apparently it overheats and cuts out signal when the outside is around 160F as I found out. Be careful where you use, make sure kids/pets won't be able to accidentally grab it. Keep it cool

I'm using this with an MSI Prestige 15 laptop and works as advertised. Seems to be made of quality materials. I can only attest to the fact that it will output 4K @ 60hz but that's a limitation of my laptop, not the product so I wouldn't take away any stars for this. As others have mentioned it does get very hot during use but not to the point that it would cause me any concern. So far so good

I got this product so I could connect my 2070 Super to an LG C2 at 4K 120HZ. While it initially works, after <30 minutes it’ll glitch out and stop working (TV says the signal is formatted incorrectly). I tried getting a heat sink so it wouldn’t overheat to no avail. I tried getting a replacement unit and attaching a heat sink again but that didn’t work either. Therefore I’ve come to the conclusion that this product does NOT do what it says it’ll do. Would not recommend for anyone trying to use it to squeeze 120HZ at 4K out of a 20 series RTX card.

This adapter works better than having 2 Apple adapters (which occasionally have trouble waking after computer sleep). I've had no issues with this adapter so far (4 weeks). But like the headline says, it does get hot. I added this heatsink (see pic) because I'm an engineer and know that electronics last longer with proper heat management. It's under $4 from Digikey (part no. HS396-ND) or you can search for Aavid part no. 374724B00032G. It comes with the adhesive pad, so just peal and stick. Works great.

It took me hours of searching to find the right piece of equipment that would allow me to extend my laptop onto two other monitors without just mirroring what I had on my screen but allowing me to have different browsers on each monitor. This did the trick! The only thing I didn't notice, probably because I was so tired, was that the piece that goes into my laptop isn't an HDMI connector, it's a small connector that is the exact same size as what I utilize to charge my cell phone (Samsung A10). Thankfully I have that port on my laptop (phew) but if I didn't, I would've been stuck. It was super simple to install, no drivers needed to be installed, I just plugged it into both my screens, and my laptop and it worked great. I am super happy with this product, and for the price it's a great deal.

This device works some of the time so I had to return one and decide to keep one. The customer service is very nice. After 3 years, the software needed upgrade and after the upgrade I got annoying advertising right in the middle of my screen and preventing me from using my PC. I forget to take screen shot, because I am worry now about virus, spy wear that comes with the software. Please try this on your own risk. Every people could have a different experience. My experience was not good and I hate this adverting. Why spend money to buy ad right there on my PC and block the work you are doing.
