  • Worth the read... Sabrent support saves the day!
Style: 2.5/3.5" SATA/U.2 SSD Adpater
Disclaimer, this product didn't actually work for me, but I am rating it 5 stars anyway due to the after sales support from Sabrent. I purchased this product to read 4 sn200 u.2 drives I purchased to verify functionality before being placed in a server. If you know about older u.2 tech like the sn200, you will know that these things are insanely power hungry for a drive, consuming over 25watta on startup/run. This product did not work for me because of that, the included adapter can do a max of 24 watts. I contacted Sabrent who immediately opened a case and investigated, we are actually still working back and forth but the experience has been nothing short of incredible... Their techs worked with me and still are months later, they agreed with the issue and are in the process of creating a new product to solve this VERY specific issue even going as far as to purchase drives of their own for internal testing as they did not want to possibly damage mine when I offered them for testing. Sabrent has earned a lifelong customer out of me with this one interaction. Absolutely and seriously impressed..I did confirm functionality with data drives which was nice and the adapter itself is streamlines and smaller than others I've owned. The fast USB connection is nice too. As I said, I'd highly recommend this product even though it technically didn't work for me because of how great Sabrent has been. If you drive draws more than 24w on boot, I would also recommend to wait for the updated version to show up on the market. ... show more

  • Every tech savvy person / enthusiast should have one in their toolkit
Style: 2.5" SSD/SATA Adapter
Back in my computer technician days at a big box store, one of the most requested services was transferring or backing up data from one form of storage (IDE/PATA Hard Disk Drive to SATA Hard Disk Drive / SSDs). We would use a device like this in order to do that work. I recently upgraded my computer's storage devices and needed a way to get the data off. I have another device adapter made by a different manufacturer which for whatever reason I could not get any of my SSDs to be recognized when plugged. I saw this and ordered one. When it came it the next day I plugged up each of my SSDs - instantly recognized - I was able to grab all of my data. Pros: Inexpensive - under 10.00 Free Acronis True Image software (do a search for acronis true image software for sabrent) Cons: None Note: This will not connect to PATA / IDE or M2 SSDs (again it is not designed nor advertised to do so) ... show more

  • Proper TRIM/UASP support = YES!
Style: 2.5" SSD/SATA Adapter
Great device.. in the right setting. Note: Purchased April 10, 2025 I used this on a Raspberry Pi 5 with 16GB of RAM. As a storage expert I can share a few details: 1. Claims to support UASP and *actually* does for enhanced performance. Verified this independently by doing performance tests with UASP enabled (default) and disabled (manually disabled). 2. trim does work properly. # usb-devices | grep -A10 152d P: Vendor=152d ProdID=a578 Rev=02.14 S: Manufacturer=SABRENT S: Product=SABRENT S: SerialNumber=<redacted> C: #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=80 MxPwr=896mA I: If#= 0 Alt= 1 #EPs= 4 Cls=08(stor.) • Great value for the price!
Style: 2.5" SSD/SATA Adapter
This is super easy to use just plug and play. Can't beat that price seems very durable so far. It's extremely compact and small compared to others that I have tried in the past.

  • M.2 latch doesn't work.
Style: 2.5/3.5" SSD/HDD/M.2 NVMe SSD Converter
The m.2 latch does not work, resulting in just leaving the m.2 enclosure open and making the thermal pads worthless. Despite this, this is a great offline cloner. I was able to easily clone my boot drive on to my m.2 SSD. Its DC power connector is necessary if you're cloning from an HDD of either type. ... show more

  • Easy to use
Style: 2.5" SSD/SATA Adapter
Worked great to review and scrap extra hard dives I had laying around. Easy to use plug and play. Overall, it's a practical tool for anyone needing quick and efficient access to SATA drives.

  • Easiest way to clone a disk
Style: 2.5" SSD/SATA Adapter
Did exactly what I was supposed to do. And yes Acronis is free but it’s a very old version. On the plus side, it did work with windows 10

  • Worked for what I bought it for
Style: 2.5" SSD/SATA Adapter
Worked as intended on my extracted SSD drive. Not so much for larger internal drives that require a separate power source. Would definitely recommend if you want to use for a SSD.
