  • Finally, an adapter that can extend the display, not just duplicate!
Size: Type-C to Dual HDMI Adapter
I've been looking for a long time for an adapter that won't just mirror/duplicate the main display. Most of the adapters on the market are really just splitters, only capable of duplicating. That can be useful for some people, but not what I needed. This one however, finally allows the functionality I need to extend my desktop. Different tasks, different backgrounds, different resolutions, the whole deal - just like it should work if my mobo had 2 native HDMI ports. I'm very pleased, I can get back to my multitasking and usual productivity now. You may need to swap the HDMI cables to get the correct monitor to show Display 1, and/or go into settings to activate multiple displays (though if you don't know how to do that, why are you even here?) but the hardware itself it was plug and play for me. No trouble whatsoever. In case it's helpful, I'm using Windows 10 Pro on an ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming x570 Pro motherboard. ... show more

  • Buyers beware! Misleading description
Size: Type-C to Dual HDMI Adapter
The description leads you to think if you have a Windows computer it will work "that quick and simple..." I just learned that not every Windows computer supports this feature. I bought this for my new job tomorrow (full time telecommuting) and my computer does not support USB-C to HDMI feature. This is the same issue that the other reviewer had (Rogue), he can't fault the product but I can fault the company for placing a misleading description, a warning would have made me do a little extra research. Now I will only have 1 monitor connected instead of the 3 monitors I was supposed to have. Very disappointing ... show more

  • My system doesn't support it
Size: Type-C to Dual HDMI Adapter
The internal drivers for this don't seem to be compatible with Win 10 1903. Can't get it to work. I've tried to get new drivers for it as well, but the maker don't have any on the website. Guess I'll have to return it. **Update** I've since found out that the new laptop I ordered doesn't support video through the USB-C port. So I can't fault the adapter for this. I just have to go with A USB 3 adapter instead. Added two stars due to this fact. ... show more

  • Incredible cheap solution to expand your workspace
Size: Type-C to Dual HDMI Adapter
I wanted to add a third monitor for my office gal to be able to see see the parking. I had 7th gen Intel NUC with USB-C and HDMI outputs, so I've decided to give this adapter it a try even though I was really skeptical. I'm a fan of Sabrent. I have a lot of their awesome adapters (like, USB to SATA, USB to IDE cables, etc) which I use on daily basis, my fingers were crossed on this one. Arrived. Monitor mounted, all wires plugged in, power up the system and BOOM: three monitors, like a charm. Highly, highly recommend. Wish Sabrent well, please continue to do awesome job for us, the IT professionals. ... show more

  • It works except for 4k/60Hz
Size: Thunderbolt to Dual HDMI
I looked at all of the expensive docking stations and my mission was to hook up my 2 4K monitors to late macbook pro 2017. One thing I noticed is that you need to have the proper cables (the PC hooked into DP), so I ordered HDMI 2.0 certified cables (a must for 4k) from monoprice. I was careful not to hook any other cables into the T3 bus on that side and put the port extender for USB/etc on the other bus. It worked right away, however no matter what I tried I could only achieve 4K/30Hz. Since I am not gaming (this is a work laptop) it is not that bad, but you can certainly see the lag in Mac animations. The view was no better or worse than my VDI connection. I referenced the Mac (it says it supports dual 60Hz, the LG (it definately works and supports this according to the manual) -- the DP port works at 60Hz, and this product says it works at 60Hz dual. I am suspect of any of these products working at 60Hz, be wary to run dual 4K monitors @60Hz with a 2017 MBP. I picked up a cheap Omotion stand for clamshell mode and I am off to the races. No docking station needed, so from there a winner. I also think the price is high because there are many offbrands which offer 4k dual at 30Hz for 1/3 the price, so value-wise it does not make it. ... show more

  • Works really well with my iMac.
Size: Thunderbolt to Dual HDMI
I just received my newest (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019) iMac. I have 2 monitors plus the iMac. Since I didn't want to give up both of my iMacs Thunderbolt 3 ports, I decided this was the way for me to go. I simply attached the 2 HDMI monitor cables to the "Sabrent Thunderbolt 3 to Dual HDMI 2.0 Adapter" and plugged the Thunderbolt 3 into the iMac. I booted up the computer for the first time and it just worked. I did need to arrange the monitors in System Preferences, but that took all of 1 minute. The dual monitors are running at 60Hz, Default display. So far, I'm very pleased with this product and I still have an available Thunderbolt 3 port on my iMac with multiple screens working very well. Sure, I with this adapter was cheaper but at least it works. ... show more

  • I've been looking everywhere...
Size: Type-C to Dual HDMI Adapter
I've bought at least three different products on Amazon, looking for something that would allow me to have two monitors that would show "different" screens at the same time. I suppose I was needing something that would "extend" the screens, rather than "splitting" them. (I'm sure my IT friends would know what I'm referring to; I sure as heck don't!) I finally ran across this "USB Type -C" Adapter and I'm so glad I did. It's worked perfectly and was very reasonably priced. I've owned it only a short time, but I expect it to last quite a long time, as all of my other Sabrent products have done. ... show more

  • Check before you buy!
Size: Type-C to Dual HDMI Adapter
I purchased this for the dual monitor as my laptop has "DisplayPort Alternate Mode" via USB-C which I've used before (at work). But...before I purchased it, I didn't do any further Google searches on the topic. If i had, I would have find the countless number of people that tried the same thing and were not able to make it work with this product. In short, I would not recommend this product as it technically should work but does not for me. I will say I reached out to customer service and within 2 days they did respond, but the first thing they asked was from the FAQ's so I chose to not pursue the topic and return the item as I wasn't able to find anyone that was able to get it to work with my laptop brand. ... show more
