  • Fits in tight spots.
I bought this right angle drill in part because I'm already in the Ryobi 1+ ecosystem and partly because I needed a right angle drill for a specific application, namely drilling in a low clearance area of my patio cover, a job for which this drill worked perfectly. It's got enough torque for the job, is very low profile and light. I'd buy it again tomorrow if I had to. ... show more

  • Good
I used it some but I don’t like where the switch is.

  • Huge. Its a beast. Not "compact".
There is nothing "compact" about this driver, which I think is misleading. Of course, I should have checked the specs, its at least if not over 12" tall. Its also pretty heavy even without the battery. You may want to order the compact 18v battery, not the monster I got. When you press the button to activate it, there is a loud "clunk" from the motor and sparks on the inside. It feels powerful but this thing is way too big for my needs. Had a not been pressed on a project with no time to get to a store to see this in person... I question if its going to get into the tight spaces I need or how Im going to balance/control it with one hand when in close quarters. ... show more

GREAT TOOL FOR TIGHT PLACES

  • Helped with stubborn bolts on Audi
Was doing a timing chain on my Audi and a few of the lower timing chain cover bolts, chain guide bolts, and chain tensioner bolts where rounded out due to the previous owners replacement of them over torquing them to well past 20nm. If anyone has done this repair they know that even with the Audi in service position there is only about six to ten inches of clearance between the engine block and the radiator. This paired with the stubby drill bits I got from Amazon aloud me to take out these stubborn bolts. ... show more

  • Great for working in tight spaces
I bought this drill midway through building a deck and in hindsight, I bought it just in time. I designed the deck with the joists at 12-inch on center (some of them ended up being 12 inches "off center"), so I needed a tool that would let me put in the hurricane straps and block with structural screws. This tool was stout, lasted all day on a 4ah battery and became my go-to drill (despite having 3 other drills to use). ... show more

  • Works, but not like other Ryobi drills
Bought to use in those places where a regular power drill does not fit, and it is good for this. However, the forward/reverse buttons are too close to the on switch, so I bump them into the opposite direction from where I want it to go. It also does not have good balance in my hand, as all my other Ryobi drills do (I have 5). ... show more
